How to Save Your Game
The Game Autosaves for You
Diablo Immortal tracks a player's progress through an Autosave feature. Player actions that count towards progression such as slaying enemies (to earn EXP) or progressing through a Quest objective will all trigger the Autosave function of the game to preserve a player's progress.
No Manual Saving
Due to the nature of the game, with it being a live-service, players will not be able to manually save their progress in the game.
As an alternative, players can perform one of two actions to trigger the Autosave feature, with these being:
- Kill an enemy
- Travel or Fast-Travel to a New Location such as Waypoints and Safe Zones.
Loading Saved Games
Loading is Based on Characters
When jumping back into the game, players will only have the option of loading into a live session by selecting a character from the Character Selection screen (provided that a character has already been created).
There is no way of manually choosing a specific "Save Game" like in singleplayer experiences.
Loads Players to the Last Saved Location
Upon selecting a character from the Character Selection screen, players will be loaded right back to their last saved position in the game world.
Loading into a game does not always guarantee that players will be dropped into a "Safe" location – you can spawn right in the middle of the map where several enemies can spawn nearby, so be wary.
