Improving your gear by increasing their gear rank level is one of the primary ways to make your character stronger in Diablo Immortal. Read on to find out more details about increasing your gear levels and transferring gear ranks to other equipment pieces.

How to Upgrade Gear Ranks

Gather Necessary Materials and Gold

Diablo Immortal - Gear Upgrade Screen

To Upgrade a gear and increase its gear rank, multiple materials alongside a hefty sum of Gold are required.

The type and number of these materials, as well as the Gold cost, is dependent on the rarity or quality of the gear being upgraded.

In addition, it is important to note that every time you increase an individual gear's rank level, its material and gold costs also increase with it.

How to Use Rank Transfer

Swapping Gear Transfers Rank Upgrades

Diablo Immortal - Gear Rank Transfer

If any of your currently equipped gears have gear ranks, replacing them with new pieces of gear provides you with the option to transfer their gear rank to the new gears. You can do this anywhere from the inventory screen.

You can also use the Rank Transfer menu at the Blacksmith to transfer gear ranks manually.

Note that gear ranks can only be transferred to and from equipment of the same category.

Main Way to Upgrade Rare, Legendary, and Set Items

Diablo Immortal - Gear Rank and Reforge

In Diablo Immortal, Rare, Legendary, and Set equipment have Ranks. Increasing the rank of your gear via Upgrades improves the attributes they provide, making it one of the the main ways to increase the Combat Rating and power of your character.

In addition, Legendary gears gain Bonus Attributes at Rank 6, 11, and 16. These Bonus Attributes are additional randomly-rolled attributes that make every Legendary you obtain potentially different from one another. You can reroll Bonus Attributes with Reforge Stones for different bonsues.
