The Helliquary is a brand new PvE mechanic in Diablo Immortal which allows players to challenge powerful bosses for permanent attribute buffs and rare crafting materials. Read on to learn how to unlock and upgrade the device, more about Helliquary bosses, as well as some useful raid tips for this activity.
List of Contents
The Helliquary is a special device that allows you to locate and defeat powerful demons in a massive 8-man PvE raid encounter. After defeating the demon for the first time, you will be given its Demonic Remains which can be stored in the Helliquary for different in-game bonuses.
Notably, the Helliquary offers a permanent Combat Rating buff as you level it up. Additional bonuses can also be had via Demonic Remains, but they will only be active in Challenge Rifts.
To unlock the Helliquary, players will need to finish the Main Quest in Bilefen and then reunite with Deckard Cain. Speak to his companions, Rayoc and Charsi, to begin the short quest that unlocks the Helliquary for use.
Defeating Helliquary bosses rewards special materials called Scoria, which you can bring to Charsi the Blacksmith to refine into Hellfire Scoria for a small gold fee. Once you have enough Hellfire Scoria, go to the Helliquary screen from the menu and upgrade it.
Upgrading your Helliquary gives a boost to your Combat Rating and at certain levels, unlock slots for sealing Demonic Remains.
Boss | Required Helliquary Level |

It is impossible to solo a Helliquary boss regardless of your Combat Rating as the game will always require an 8-man raid group to attempt a raid. Form a group with other players, either by creating or joining a raid, or team up with your Warband members to go against the Helliquary boss!
Completing a Helliquary raid weekly with your Warband also gives all members an Eternal Legendary Crest Voucher, which allows them to purchase an Eternal Legendary Crest from the Crest merchant for 1,600 Platinum. This feature was added in Version 1.5.2.
How to Play Multiplayer: Co-Op Guide
Each new Helliquary boss encounter will indicate its required Combat Rating when you open the raid window. You won't be able to create or join a Raid group if you don't meet the required Combat Rating, although it is possible to join a Raid group with a requirement higher than your CR through an invitation from a fellow clan member who meets the requirement and is currently in a Raid group.
Combat Rating Meaning: How to Increase and Check Combat Rating
Helliquary bosses are very difficult to kill. On top of their beefy HP pools, these bosses also have special attacks that can one-shot players depending on their build. If you are your party's glass cannon, it would be helpful to learn the attack patterns of the encounters, especially when the difficulty starts to ramp up at higher levels.
When fighting the Helliquary boss and its mobs, make sure to keep an eye on your HP, health potion cooldown, and the arena's available health globes. Unlike normal encounters, the brute force method of spamming attacks will usually get you killed in this 8-man, PvE encounter.
Pay attention to your HP for large drops as the mobs can melt you in an instant if you aren't careful. During the raid, always remember that timing your heals throughout the fight will be the key to survival and victory.
Since it is a mobile game, in-game communication in Diablo Immortal will be very limited. When planning to raid with a pre-made group, consider setting up voice comms as coordination will really help during the harder Helliquary encounters.
