In Diablo Immortal, the Immortals are one of the two main factions that compete in the Cycle of Strife. Read on to learn about the Immortals, how to join them, and other faction details!
List of Contents
Before you can join the Immortals, you need to finish the main quest The Cycle Begins.
To start this questline, you need to complete the Bilefen questline, obtain the Timeworn Scroll from the Ancient Arena, and reach Character Level 43.
Afterward, follow the questline through in Westmarch to learn more about the Cycle of Strife and unlock the ability to enter the Immortals.
In Diablo Immortal, one of the only ways to become an Immortal is through joining the Shadows and winning the Rite of Exile.
You can do this by entering the Shadows through the Shadow Lottery or have someone else use an Akeba's Signet to invite you to become a Shadow. Once you've become a Shadow, join or form a Dark Clan, and becoming the top Dark Clan that defeats the Immortals and becomes the last one standing at the end of the Rite of Exile.
You can also become an Immortal through invitation or application, but you will first need to be approved by The Immortal or one of their Lieutenants.
However, this will not be an easy or quick process as the Immortals will likely interview you and thoroughly check your character before they even consider approving you.
Becoming an Immortal demands high-level gear and a consistent daily time investment, so make sure that you are prepared for these things when considering joining the Immortals.
After winning the Rite of Exile or becoming approved by the Immortals, the last thing you need to do to join the faction is complete A True Immortal.
This questline has four steps, with one step unlocked each day, so make sure to never miss a step to become an Immortal as quickly as possible.
The primary progression system featured in the Immortals is the Eternal Crown.
Tied to the Immortal Age Rank of the Immortals, The Eternal Crown is what every member collectively contributes towards to power up their faction.
Upgrading the Eternal Crown increases the number of Maximum Members and boosts the Damage and Defense of all Immortals.
Aside from the Eternal Crown of The Immortal, there are four other Crowns that can be given to other members of the faction.
These Crowns turn members into Lieutenants, which gives them a high level of authority in the Immortals and grants them unique temporary buffs.
Upgrading Immortal Age Rank also improves the Lieutenant Crowns, enhancing the buffs they provide.
Crown | Ability |
---|---|
Eternal Crown | All allies within 10 yards gain increased Attack Speed and their skill cooldowns are reduced for 25 seconds. |
Crown of Agony | All allies within 10 yards gain increased critical hit chance for 25 seconds. |
Crown of Restoration | All allies within 10 yards heal for a percentage of their maximum Life every 5 seconds for 25 seconds. |
Crown of the Wind | All allies within 10 yards gain increased Movement Speed and increased Evasion Rating for 25 seconds. |
Crown of Protection | All allies within 10 yards take reduced damage for 25 seconds. |
Immortals gain access to Weekly Rewards based on their Prestige in the faction.
Prestige is increased by providing Contributions to the Immortals, obtained from completing Daily Goals, defending the Vault, and inviting Adventurers into the Immortals.
Weekly Rewards provide Immortals with a significant number of Gold, Hilts, and even high-attribute Legendary gear, making it one of the main perks of becoming an Immortal.
The Vault is item storage containing numerous Legendaries and many other items obtained by the Immortals.
Being an Immortal provides you with the chance to obtain a choice of Legendaries as a Weekly Reward from the Vault as long as you keep your Contributions high enough.
Make sure to request items from the Vault before Weekly Rewards are distributed, or you may receive unwanted gear instead.
Immortals also gain access to a unique cosmetic option in the form of Immortal Cloaks.
While these Cloaks are just for show, they are exclusive to the Immortals, and they even increase in visual effects the higher the Immortal Age Rank progresses.
The primary way to progress in the Immortals is to complete your Daily Goals.
These Daily Goals are composed of numerous gameplay tasks in Diablo Immortal, such as completing Dungeons, Bounties, and Challenge Rifts.
Completing Daily Goals rewards you with Essentia and Dominance, which upgrades the Eternal Crown and increases your Contributions in the Immortals, so always make sure to clear them out.
In contrast to the Shadows' Vault Raid, Immortals must defend the Vault.
After alarms become raised by Warden NPCs during a Vault Raid, Immortals can answer the call to join the raid instance and fight against the Shadows in PvP combat.
Defending the Vault provides you with Contributions and Hilts, so never neglect to do so when you have the chance.
Kion's Ordeal is a 48-man Immortal raid that features four teams fighting four different bosses that need to be defeated simultaneously.
Aside from being a good source of Gold, experience, and high-level loot, Kion's Ordeal also provides a large amount of Dominance, so it is one of the primary ways to upgrade the Eternal Crown.
The amount of Dominance this raid provides scales with its Difficulty Level, so Immortals should prepare themselves accordingly.
Note that Kion's Ordeal can only be opened by Immortal leaders using Essentia, so contribute as much of this resource as possible so the faction can raid more often.
The Rite of Exile is the culminating activity for the Immortals, as it determines the outcome of the Cycle of Strife.
On Sundays at 8:00 PM server time, the server's current Immortals will need to fight off against the ten highest-ranking Dark Clans to maintain their reign.
The Rite of Exile is composed of ten simultaneous 8v8 fights, where the Immortals need to win five battles to prevent the Shadows from overthrowing them.
If the Shadows prevail over the Immortals in these battles, The Immortal will have to fend off three members from each of the Dark Clans in a 1v30 Raid to prevent their status from being stripped away.
If the Shadows prevail over The Immortal, the final act of the Rite of Exile proceeds. Every participating Dark Clan will fight one another to determine which Clan becomes the next Immortals.
The Immortals are one of the two rival factions that compete in the Cycle of Strife.
They are a group of distinguished adventurers tasked to defend Sanctuary and prove that they are worthy of their titles at all times.
In-game, Immortals are composed of the strongest players from each server. They must live up to their titles by defending against the Shadows and fulfilling their daily duties.
The primary goal of the Immortals is to maintain their reign by strengthening themselves and preventing the Shadows from overthrowing them.
To do this, Immortals need to earn Dominance each day to continuously increase their Immortal Age Rank and become strong enough to prove themselves at the Rite of Exile.
Earning Dominance is done by fulfilling the Immortals' Daily Goals, defending their Vault against Shadows, and progressing through Kion's Ordeal.
