Strafe and Impale focused build

This build mainly cycles between Strafe and Impale against bosses. Both skills are to be used from a safe distance while melee allies are drawing the boss' aggro, allowing you to go full offensive on your setup and concentrate your attacks on a single target.

Legendary Gear Setup

For the Legendary Gear pieces, you want to try getting Blacktalon and Unrelenting Furor as these two enhances Strafe. Blacktalon makes Strafe fire bullets in a single direction instead of every direction, making it easier to focus the skill's damage on a target.

Without Blacktalon, you'll have to take a risk and get a bit closer to the boss while you're moving at a slower speed. The skill's damage may also spread to other targets in phases that the boss summons minions, significantly lowering your DPS.

Set Gear Setup

With two of your main sources of damage being Channel skills, you should have the Grace of the Flagellant as your Set Gear, or at least four pieces of the set for this build. The first set bonus of the Grace of the Flagellant increases the damage dealt by your Channel skills, while the second set bonus adds another hit every five hits you do to an enemy.

Save the last two slots for the Windloft Perfection rings so you can maneuver a bit easier while using Strafe.

Legendary Gem Setup

All of the Legendary Gems in this setup boost your DPS, and since none of these contribute to your survivability, you must stay back and let your melee allies do the tanking.

Be sure to utilize the alternating effects of Power and Command while doing skill rotations (you can check which is active by tapping the icon below your HP bar). Both your Channel skills will deal more damage while Command is active. Once it switches to Power, you can let them recharge first and use Vengeance until the gem effect switches back to Command.

Stats and Paragon Priorities

Attribute Priorities

Strength Increases both Damage and Combat Rating, making it the main stat for Demon Hunters.
Fortitude Not only increases your Armor but also your Armor Penetration, which is useful for improving your damage output.
Critical Hit Chance This applies to the continuous damage from your Channel skills, which means you'll get those double damage hits more often.
Critical Hit Damage Since you'll land critical hits more often with your stream of attacks, increasing your Critical Hit Damage stat boosts your damage further.
Vitality Although you should be always a few yards away from the boss, it will be safer to invest a bit on this stat in case the boss moves around the area or summons minions.

Paragon Priorities

Survivor > Soldier

This is where you make up for the lack of survivability on the majority of your setup. Spend Paragon points on the Survivor tree and unlock Unyielding and Stalwart as soon as you can. Next, max out all the skills required for Indestructible as you'll need this skill in case the boss unleashes a killer attack.

How to Play

Use Strafe and Impale with Command

DI - Strafe and Impale

After engaging the Raid Boss, check Power and Command's current state first before making your next move. If Command is active, use Strafe and Impale back to back on your target. Since Command boosts to your active skills, both will have their damage increased futher.

Unlike with Strafe, you are rooted to where you stand while using Impale, so make sure to only use it from a safe distance or if the boss isn't unleashing attacks that need to be dodged.

Use Vengeance with Power

DI - Vengeance

Take advantage of Command's down time to recharge both your Channel skills. After the Legendary Gem switches to Power, activate Vengeance to give your primary attacks support damage.
