Going AFK or Away from Keyboard in Diablo Immortal can be a common experience for certain players. Although there is a 30-minute grace period for how long a player can stay AFK, read on to learn what alternatives there are to going AFK in order to avoid any in-game dangers!

30-Minute AFK Timer
Diablo Immortal limits in AFK (Away from Keyboard) inactivity to a generous amount of time roughly 30 minutes from when you start idling in the game. The game will automatically disconnect a player from the session when they have gone AFK past the 30-minute mark.
Being AFK Leaves You Vulnerable to Enemy Attacks
Although going AFK might make it more convenient for players to no longer have to go through a loading screen when jumping back into a game, it does make in-game characters open to any attacks from the many dangers of the world.
While AFK, creatures, and even other players while in PvP, can simply attack the player's character in-game, leading to a loss of life.
Alternatives to Being AFK
Escape to the Main Menu
When presented with a situation that would leave the in-game character idle for extended periods of time, it is best to simply leave the current game session by jumping to the Main Menu.
This removes any potential pitfalls should characters in an active game session be attacked by monsters or creatures that players cannot respond to while AFK.
