Strengths

Strengths
• Skills deal a massive amount of damage.
• Primary attacks are also very powerful.
• Good movement speed for kiting.
• Has traps that make space during hectic fights.

The Demon Hunter is ranged glass cannon that deals massive amounts of single-target damage. Equipped with high DPS skills and space-making traps, Demon Hunters are prized for their ability to melt opponents in combat.

Players looking for a pure DPS class and a point-and-shoot playstyle should consider picking up the Demon Hunter as their starting class for Diablo Immortal.

Weaknesses

Weaknesses
• Very weak escape skills compared to other classes.
• Low Health; will often take damage while attacking.
• No notable buffs for group play.

The Demon Hunter's strength lies in its ability to deal a lot of damage within a short amount of time. However, without good positioning, its lackluster disengage skills make higher difficulty content very challenging to complete.

As a Demon Hunter, itemization will play a large factor since your high damage must always offset how low your character's health is. In group play, the Demon Hunter only remains valuable if they stay alive long enough for their damage to matter.

Demon Hunter Stat Priority

Demon Hunter Stat Priorities

Demon Hunter Stat Priority
StrengthFortitudeVitalityWillpower
Strength This is the primary stat of the Demon Hunter. It gives the highest boost to Damage and Combat Rating when increased.
Fortitude Raises Armor and Armor Penetration. As a DPS, this class depends on dealing as much damage as possible while leveling up. Raise this stat to increase the damage behind crits.
Vitality Raises your max Life. Since this class's HP is low, investing in this stat to improve your chances of survival is highly recommended.
Willpower Raises Potency and Resistance. Increase this stat to boost your resistance to harmful enemy effects.
Intelligence Worst stat to increase as a Demon Hunter as it provides the lowest combat rating bonus. Do not waste any points on this stat while leveling this class.

As a DPS, your priority will be to level Strength as it gives you the most bonuses for both combat rating and damage with each additional point. Invest in Fortitude next to improve the damage dealt by your crits. Once you start nearing the endgame, shift your priority to Vitality to survive the harder content it offers.

Demon Hunter Paragon Point Priorities

As with most classes, it is best to go for more Damage and Life when spending Paragon Points. The Vanquisher tree has a lot of options for both Damage and Life, making it a good early investment if you're still unsure about which tree is best for your build.

As a secondary choice, players can invest in Armor Penetration to deal more damage to the Demon Hunter's enemies. For survivability, go for increased Armor or Resistance depending on your equipment's bonuses.

How to Play Demon Hunter

Pay Attention to Positioning

Diablo Immortal - Demon Hunter Reposition Ability

Since the Demon Hunter often plays much like a glass cannon, always pay attention to your positioning. When tackling large groups of enemies, make sure to keep an eye out for possible escape routes while you whittle away at their health.

Remember, skills like Daring Swing will have limited uses, preventing you from always having an escape if you get cornered. Do not bite off more than you can chew when playing as this class has low health.

Switch Attacks Depending on the Enemy Type

Diablo Immortal - Demon Hunter AoE Attacks

When dealing with enemy bosses, mix up your Primary Attacks with skills that boost their effectiveness like Vengeance to whittle down the enemy while keeping mobile. When dealing with mobs, use AoE attacks such as Spinning Chakram or Multishot to hit them all as they follow you around.

While traps provide a nice dimension to fights, direct damage via the AoE skills will usually be preferable as your goal is always to kill enemies as fast as possible.
