Cycle of Strife

Diablo Immortal - Immortals vs Shadows
Cycle of Strife is an endgame system, where two factions, the Immortals and the Shadows engage in combat to determine the rightful protectors of Sanctuary. The Cycle of Strife has several modes within it.

Cycle of Strife Game Modes
Kion's Ordeal Vault Raids
Path of Blood Akeba's Challenge
Rite of Exile The Challenge of the Immortal

Kion's Ordeal

Kion's Ordeal is a game mode exclusive to the Immortals, where 48 people engage in a PvE raid for unique rewards.

Vault Raids

The Immortals can store away their treasures in their own Vault, while the Shadows test the Immortals by raiding said Vaults. As a Shadow, you can attempt to steal the treasures stored within. As an Immortal, you can attempt to defend your treasure against these invading Shadows.

Path of Blood

A game mode specifically for Shadows, Path of Blood tests the mettle of Shadows by plunging them into short battles against demons and monsters. Progressing through floors in Path of Blood increases your rank as a Shadow.

Akeba's Challenge

Shadows who are rank Apprentice I or higher are eligible to create a Dark House, which is a group of Shadows, during Assemblies, which are held at specific times and days of the week. In Akeba's Challenge, the Shadows will have to face against 3 powerful Ancient Warriors.

Rite of Exile

A gameplay mode for Shadows, where they can form teams called Dark Houses. These Dark Houses compete against each other to become the top Dark House, which is then deemed worthy enough to challenge the Immortals.

The Challenge of the Immortal

Once the Rite of Exile is done, the reigning Dark House pits 30 Shadows against a single Immortal, who is transformed into a powerful raid boss only for that encounter. Whoever wins this battle will become the new Immortals.

Helliquary

Diablo Immortal - Helliquary
Accessible only after completing the main story quest in Bilefen, the player will be introduced to a device called the Helliquary. The Helliquary can summon powerful demons, which the player can defeat, and then turn their Demonic Remains into power.

Players need to gather Scoria, which Charsi can turn into Hellfire Scoria, which is necessary to upgrade the Helliquary and summon even stronger demons.

Dawn of Damnation

Diablo Immortal - Dawn of Damnation
Dawn of Damnation is an in-game event that allows players to partake in a special challenge: Defend against the onslaught of Skarn, Herald of Terror, and his forces from the Burning Hells!

Players must be at least level 30 to participate in Dawn of Damnation. After accepting a quest in the City of Westmarch and defeating the demonic horde, players will then be able to undertake daily missions and events to earn Obols of the Damned. This currency can be used to purchase Legendary Crests, Gems, and other rare items in the event shop.

Essence Transfer

Diablo Immortal - Essence Transfer
Interacting with Zamina in Westmarch will allow players to extract the Essence of their Legendary gear, then allow another Legendary item to Inherit the properties of the Essence, which includes the Legendary property, name, icon, 3D model, and flavor text. The new item will also keep its former attributes. This process is reversible without having to lose anything.
