The event occurs every day and is only limited by the amount of people who contribute Ancient Essence for the zone event.
In addition, traveling to Frozen Tundra provides an event tab pinned to your Quest Log, which you can use to Auto Navigate to exact event locations.
How to Complete Call of the Ancients

Collect Ancient Essence in Frozen Tundra
While the Call of the Ancients event is active, monsters in Frozen Tundra have a chance of dropping Ancient Essence when killed. These purple orbs contribute to the Essence Collected meter, so defeat as many monsters as you can to progress the event.
Escort the Ancient Spirit
After enough Ancient Essence is collected, the Ancient Spirit is summoned to the Frozen Tundra and needs to be escorted to the Ancient Graveyard. Clear its path of any monsters to prevent the Ancient Spirit from losing health.
Located Near Bitter Hearth Waypoint
The Ancient Spirit spawns near the Bitter Hearth Waypoint, so make your way there after the Essence Collected meter is filled.
Defeat Spirit Hunters
On the way to the Ancient Graveyard, Spirit Hunters will appear and stop the Ancient Spirit from moving forward.
Defeat them to continue the trek to your destination and to get Ancestral Relics, which are used at the end of the event to gain rewards.
Cleanse Ancestral Relics for Rewards
After escorting the Ancient Spirit to the Ancient Graveyard, it will stay there for 10 minutes to cleanse the Ancestral Relics you collected during the event.
These Ancestral Relics provide Scrap Material and gear of random slots and quality, making this event a good source of crafting materials.
