Progress on your character can be hindered by the game's soft and hidden caps. Read on to learn about all the soft and hidden caps in Diablo Immortal and how you can make the most of your limited uncapped play!
Affected Area | Cap Limit |
---|---|
Legendary Drops | Limited to 5-6 per day. |
Normal Gems in Groups | Per raid/run, after getting 5~6 Gems, the drop rate decreases. |
Side Quest Rewards | No more rewards after finishing five Side Quests per day. |
World Bosses (Purple Enemies) | No rewards given after 5 per day. |
Map Events (Random) | No rewards given after five per day. |
Zoltun Kulle Treasure Rooms | Limited to five per day. |
Hidden Lairs | Limited to 6 Gem Rewards per day. |
Shadow Clan Progression | Although marked as needing only 10K Marks as a Clan per day, the Clan actually needs each player within the clan to drop 10KMarks for a total of 100k for the Clan. |
Bestiary | Only 3 entries can be unlocked per day, however there is a chance to get a duplicate entry. Duplicate entries become more frequent after 60 unlocked pages. |
Rarities and Antiquities Merchant | 25 daily limit for Gold Items bought with gold, with a great increase in price after the 10th purchase. |
Elder Rift Fading Embers | Weekly limit of 200 Fading Embers in addition to any additional embers that can be gained if a party member is using a crest. |
Gifts of Renown | Only 20 can be unlocked per season. |
Due to the soft cap on Legendary Drops that players can get from downing enemies, they really won't be able to gain much more than what they can get per day. Players seeking to dedicate a day to grind for these Legendary pieces need only to get at least 5 or 6 of them, before focusing their attention elsewhere.
Players who like to stay in a party to go out on raids in dungeons will face a similar problem as with Legendary Drops – only five to six Gems can be taken as a reward, with only one showing up per run in a Raid.
Unlike Legendary Drops, however, Normal Gems won't be completely gone after this soft cap – instead, players will get the chance to get one more per run for every hour, making grinding for the Gems still possible.
Side Quests, similar to both Gems and Legendary Drops, are limited in what you can get after achieving your sixth Side Quest. It is highly suggested that after the fifth or sixth one players don't go out of their way to search for more Side Quests, as they will become much more difficult to find.
World Bosses (bosses encountered in Zones/Locations outside of Dungeons), Random Events, as well as Cursed Chests all provide players with useful materials that they can use as rewards. However, these are hard-capped/limited to only five per day for each.
Players can choose to alternate between the three, but eventually will have to focus efforts elsewhere once all three's five rewards have been claimed.
Gold is an easy resource for players to come by, with most enemies dropping large amounts of them for the player to earn. There is seemingly no limit to how much Gold a player can earn per day, which makes grinding for items easier for players due to the Rarities & Antiquities shop.
Be forewarned, however, as, after the 10th purchase from the shop, the prices of items will increase dramatically, which is a good point for players to shift focuses elsewhere.
