The Blood Rose spawns in its lair at the westernmost part of the Fetid Swamp in Dark Wood. When it has spawned, a colored icon of the boss will be visible on the world map.

The Blood Rose spawns during the Purify the Corruption Zone Event in Dark Wood.

During this event, there is a 20-minute cooldown timer, so simply wait for the boss to spawn in its lair to summon it.

Players will also need to defeat Blood Rose in the quest Blood Resurrection. Progress through the story to encounter the boss battle. This Blood Rose is much easier compared to its Zone Event counterpart. It can be soloed but its rewards when beating it will not be as great.

Group Up With Other Players

Fighting the Blood Rose is nearly impossible to do alone. Make sure to group up with other players before it spawns to successfully defeat it.

Use Health Potions Sparingly

Each of its attacks hit quite hard, so make sure to use Health Potions sparingly as you fight the boss.

Take advantage of Health Globes and dodge its avoidable attacks as much as possible to keep your Life as high as possible without using Health Potions.

Reach Level 60

Since the Blood Rose boss is part of the Purify the Corruption Zone Event, players will only unlock this by reaching Level 60 and turning on the Hell I difficulty setting.

Attack Patterns

Blood Spit

Its left and right tendrils spit blood projectiles 6 times starting from the center of the arena, dealing moderate damage to players it hits.

You can easily dodge this attack by sticking to the boss's center and moving closer after the first set of projectiles.

Blood Laser

A blood-red laser sweeps across the arena, dealing heavy damage. This laser attack happens twice, starting right to left and ending left to right.

You can mitigate the damage from this attack by quickly moving through the laser as it sweeps past you.

Blood Spikes

This attack launches three waves of spikes outwards starting from the center of the arena, dealing heavy damage with each wave.

You can mitigate the damage from this attack by sticking to the boss's center and moving closer after the first wave of spikes.

Blood Mortars

There are attacks with delayed AoE mortar blasts that directly target players, dealing heavy damage and damage-over-time on hit.

To avoid this attack, watch out for red circles forming beneath your character and start running around.

Blood Blasts

There are also attacks with delayed AoE blood blasts that spawn in semicircular rows around the boss. Pay attention to red circles forming around the boss and avoid them to dodge this attack.

Summon Bloodsworn

It lets out a roar and spawns Bloodsworn enemies from the center of the arena. These enemies are not particularly difficult to defeat, so quickly clear them out before returning your focus to the boss.

Life Drain

At the halfway point of the fight, the Blood Rose will start draining the health of nearby players while pulling them into itself.

This attack is its most dangerous move, as staying even one second in its Life Drain AoE can put the boss back at full health.

To avoid this attack, stay alert for a red circle forming beneath the Blood Rose and quickly run away from the boss when it does, as this signals the start of its Life Drain attack.
