The easiest way to increase your Combat Rating is by continuously finding gear that provides your character with better stats and attributes than your previous gear.
As a general rule, prioritize items that increase Strength, Intelligence, Fortitude, Vitality, and Willpower, as these are directly tied to how high your Combat Rating is.
Take a look at your character's gear score from the menu and choose the best ones.

One way to farm for better gear is to increase the game's difficulty. Making the game harder wlll increase the chances of better equipment and is one of the only ways to get set items.
How to Change Difficulty
Rare, Legendary, and Set gear can be upgraded to increase their rank and improve the stats they provid, which in turn increases your current Combat Rating.
In addition, Legendary gear also have Bonus Attributes at certain ranks, which can also increase Combat Rating.
Make sure to rank up your gear often to keep your character power and Combat Rating as high as possible.

Enigmatic Crystals are needed to upgrade secondary equipment. Enigmatic Crystals are rewarded to players when clearing Challenge Rifts for the first time.
How to Get Enigmatic Crystals
Legendary Gems are powerful additions to each of your six primary gear slots.
While each Legendary Gem provides a gear slot with powerful and unique attributes, they also directly contribute to your Combat Rating.
As much as possible, fill up all of your Legendary Gem slots and keep them upgraded to optimize your Combat Rating.

Head to any of the Apprentice Jewelers on the map in order to upgrade Legendary Gems. Upgrading Legendary Gems require Gem Power which can be converted from either unused Legendary Gems or through copies of Gems players already have.
How to Upgrade Legendary Gems
The Helliquary can be upgraded to provide permanent Combat Rating buffs and other bonuses when doing in-game content.
Upgrade the Helliquary as often as you can with Hellfire Scoria to unlock new raid encounters and keep your Combat Rating high.
Hellfire Scoria can be obtained through refining regular Scoria, which are rewarded by completing raids and defeating Helliquary Bosses. Go to any Blacksmith to refine your Scoria.
Combat Rating is a Secondary Attribute in Diablo Immortal that affects how much damage dealt and taken.
Damage dealt and taken depends on your Combat Rating compared to the enemy's Combat Rating.
Because of this, keeping a high Combat Rating and staying in areas where your Combat Rating is greater than or equal to your foes is vital in progressing smoothly through Diablo Immortal.

If your Combat Rating is too low, it's because one or more of these factors are being neglected. Seek out legendary gear, upgrade it at the Blacksmith to improve your total gear score, socket your gear with Legendary Gems, and upgrade your Helliquary with Hellfire Scoria. If you can keep on top of this, you will see immediate improvements to your Combat Rating!

To check your Combat Rating, open up the character menu, then select the body icon near your character's foot. In this menu, click on the page icon on the bottom, then select More Attributes. The Combat Rating is the first score listed under Secondary Attributes.
