Cleave Burst PvP Build

This build focuses on burst damage by building around Cleave's high initial damage and Furious Charge's disruptive capability. Coupled with the survivability and mobility from Sprint and Undying Rage, this build aims to turn Barbarians into hit-and-run burst assassins in PvP.

Legendary Gear Setup

The first two core Legendary items of this build are Svot's Reach and Flesh Splitter. These two modify Cleave to increase its damage and turn it into a circular AoE ability.

The other core Legendary items of this build are Tracker's Rage and Screaming Fury. These two improve Furious Charge with increased damage, two charges, and manual targeting.

Second Breath and Broken Grasp are used in the build to make Sprint even more effective. These two items increase the skill's duration and provide Sprint with 20% dodge chance, allowing you to stick to running enemies and reach PvP objectives faster.

Set Gear Choice

A combination of Issatar Imbued and Untouchable Mountebank is the preferred secondary gear set for this build. Untouchable Mountebank improves the build's survivability in PvP settings, while Issatar Imbued increases your movement speed and damage dealt after each enemy takedown. Together, these two sets make a perfect match for the melee hit-and-run burst style of this build.

Obtaining Mountebank's Bravado and Mountebank's Slyness at Hell I difficulty first is recommended as Untouchable Mountebank offers more immediate set bonus benefits than Issatar Imbued.

Legendary Gem Setup

Most Legendary Gems in the build are used to increase the damage potential of Cleave and Furious Charge, with effects such as Everlasting Torment's potent damage-over-time from critical hits and Chained Death improving damage when hitting multiple targets.

Blessing of the Worthy and Power and Command are used in the build for extra utility and survivability, providing a strong AoE attack and damage reduction when hit and increasing damage and potentially removing negative effects every few seconds.

Stats and Paragon Priorities

Attribute Priorities

Strength Strength is core to all Barbarian builds as it directly contributes to Damage and Combat Rating.
Vitality Vitality is crucial to the build for staying alive in PvP as long as possible, especially with the mode's lack of Healing Potions.
Armor Penetration Armor Penetration is also prioritized for the build as it improves damage by ignoring enemy armor and increasing Critical Hit Damage..
Critical Hit Chance Critical Hit Chance is particularly important for this build as it improves the chances of increasing the burst damage from Cleave.
Critical Hit Damage Critical Hit Damage works with Critical Hit Chance to improve the burst damage from Cleave.

Paragon Priorities

Survivor > Vanquisher > Soldier

Prioritize spending points in Survivor early as it provides plenty of survivability with skills like Unyielding and Stalwart. These two abilities reduce the damage you take and improve your block chance as your Life decreases.

Put some points into Vanquisher next to improve your DPS using Damage Nodes while working towards Paragon Level 50.

Once you hit Paragon Level 50, prioritize Soldier next as it is the PvP-focused tree. It provides abilities such as First Aid and Battle Morale, which provide healing and increased damage as long as you stick together with your party to defeat foes.

How to Play

Reach Objectives and Foes with Sprint

Diablo Immortal - Battlegrounds Sprint Usage
Use Sprint to move swiftly towards objectives and enemies, and to quickly retreat after doing your burst damage with Furious Charge and Cleave.

This ability also provides an extra 20% dodge chance thanks to Broken Grasp, so you should always keep it active in prolonged combat scenarios.

Lock Down Enemies with Furious Charge

Diablo Immortal - Furious Charge Lockdown PvP
Start your burst of damage by hitting opponents with Furious Charge. Due to Screaming Fury, you can precisely aim this ability to knock opponents upwards and keep them in range of your damaging abilities.

Inflict Burst Damage with Cleave

Diablo Immortal - Furious Charge in PvP
Once your opponents are locked down, use up all of your charges of Cleave to collapse their health bars in an instant. With Cleave having a powerful initial hit and a strong 3-second bleed, it makes for a potent combo with Furious Charge.

Only Activate Undying Rage When Necessary

Diablo Immortal - Undying Rage PvP
Undying Rage prevents you from taking lethal damage if it is off cooldown, so never use it unless absolutely necessary. Save it for moments when you lack Bandages or when deliberately taking lethal damage to finish off objectives and opponents.
