How to Beat Gorgothra the Claimer

Clear Out the Adds

There will be several adds or mobs surrounding Gorgothra, called Deceivers and Succubi. Defeat these first before dealing with the boss.

Stay Away from Gorgothra's Targets

When Gorgothra is casting its Petrification Ray move, move away from people who are targeted with a whitish bracket. This move summons crystals that explode upon the target, causing AoE damage to everything around it. This move does huge damage.

Stick to Gorgothra's Back or Sides

Stay behind Gorgothra or to its sides to avoid most of its dangerous attacks.

Keep on Moving Around

Moving around is the best way to avoid Gorgothra's Petrification Ray attacks, as well as its Bilious Venom balls. Stay on your feet and keep mobile, and pay attention to its Petrification Ray targets, which are white brackets around players.

Gorgothra the Claimer Attack Patterns

Petrification Ray

Gorgothra targets random players and summons a crystal over their heads that follows them. After a few seconds, the crystals will crash onto players and explode, causing large AoE damage and petrifying everything around it.

If you have been targeted, retreat from battle and stay away from other people. The crystal can be avoided if you keep on moving, or use a Dash skill to dodge it.

If you have not been targeted, stay away from targeted people, since the explosion can damage you as well.

Bilious Venom

Players have to be careful of poison balls from Gorgothra. Avoid these balls by staying behind Gorgothra. These balls will bounce off from walls as well, so lay off on attacks and put more attention into dodging.

Serpentine Strikes

These are gorgothra's main physical attacks. As Gorgortha will have an even higher gear score minimum, expect his attacks to be deadly.
