Lord Martanos Location

Lord Martanos is found in the upper left corner of Mount Zavain. You will encounter an altar that can be interacted with and doing so will summon Lord Martanos as a world boss for everyone to defeat.

Lord Martanos can be spawned every thirty minutes as the altar takes time to charge. Interacting with the altar will indicate how much time is left, so if he hasn't spawned yet, the only thing to do is be patient.

Only available in Hell difficulties

The event involving Lord Martanos is only available at Hell I Difficulty or higher. Once Lord Martanos is available to fight, the Auto-Navigation prompt will appear when you're in Mount Zavain.

How to Change Difficulty

Access via the Zakarum Cemetery Waypoint

The easiest way to access Lord Martanos is by teleporting to the Zakarum Cemetery Waypoint and heading west through the cave. This will lead you right to the altar room.

How to Summon Lord Martanos

Activate the Altar in North-West Mount Zavain

Lord Martanos' altar is found North-West on Mount Zavain. can only be summoned from his Altar every 30 minutes from its last summon so it's highly suggested to visit the altar and see how many minutes are left before the altar can be activated again.

Remember that this will only trigger in Hell difficulties.

Fighting Lord Martanos is nearly impossible to do alone. Make sure to group up with other players before it spawns to successfully defeat it. You can also call other players or even players in your Warband to take Lord Martanos down!

Stay Far From Lord Martanos

Each of the Blood Rose's attacks hit quite hard, so make sure to use Health Potions sparingly as you fight the boss.

Take advantage of Health Globes and dodge its avoidable attacks as much as possible to keep your Life as high as possible without using Health Potions.

Don't Clutter Together if You're Playing Melee

Lord Martanos' attacks will hit for moderate damage but it doesn't hit all targets in the area. Stay away from other melee players and position in a space with no other players standing to divide the boss' damage output.

Lord Martanos Attack Patterns

Blessed Shield Throw

Lord Martanos quickly hurls its Shield forward which damages all players hit. It then returns to Lord Martanos and damages all players hit again.

Normal Attacks

Aside from its Blessed Shield ranged attack, Lord Martanos doesn't use a lot of different attacks. However, know that each hit packs a punch which is why it's recommended to create some distance between you and the fallen paladin.
