How to Beat Baal

Strike at opportune moment

Baal's attack pattern leaves a big window for you to launch your own attacks as prepares for the next cycle. Effectively you can drag this fight until your NPC companions take out the mobs and wil directly deal damage to Baal.

Allow NPCs to take out mobs

In both phases of this boss fight, the NPCs that accompany you will repeatedly say that you must finish off Baal while they deal with the mobs that spawns. This will give you some leg room to just evade mobs and focus on dealing damage directly to Baal.

Get behind Tal Rasha's barrier for protection

While Baal's flame-based attacks are easily dodgeable, they pack the punch when you do get hit. To not run the risk of getting burnt, run to Tal Rasha's barrier whenever Baal winds up for its flame attacks.

Baal Attack Patterns

Sweep Attack

Baal's sweep attack acts both as a melee and ranged attack. Baal will wind up 2-3 times before leaving himself vulnerable to direct attacks. If you have HP and Vitailty, you can tank the sweep and attack at the same rate.

Homing Blue Flames

This homing blue flame attack is one of Baal's flame-based attacks. The blue flames will follow you for some time before disappearing. Maintain some distance from Baal as you avoid the blue flames as it will leave you vulnerable to

Multi-directional Flames

This is similar to the previous attack, the only difference is that you won't need to dodge this attack as much. The flames will go in six directions, meaning you only need to place yourself in a safe place and attack from a distance as Baal is vulnerable while doing this attack.

Shadow Clone

On the second phase of your battle with Baal, he will split himself into two. Both will display the same range of attacks, but are still manageable as your NPC companions will still deal damage to the other one while you take care of one.

Meteor Shower

Baal will wind up and you will notice 6 red circles on the field that will have 3 different ranges. Fireballs will land on those spots, making it easy enough to dodge and time your attacks accordingly.

Shockwave Attack

This attack has a wide range and will leave you temporarily stunned if you get hit by it.
