Blood-Soaked Jade	Increases all damage you deal by up to 8% while at full Life, with a minimum bonus of 4% while at low Life. Increases your Movement Speed by 10%. Take 2% decreased damage while below 50% Life. Unlocks at Rank 3
Chained Death	Increases damage done by your attacks by 1.50% per target hit, up to a maximum of 4.5% with 3 targets. Chained death bonus damage increases to a maximum of 4 targets. Unlocks at Rank 3
Seeping Bile	Your attacks 4% chance to poison enemies, inflicting 25% base damage + 263 every second for 6 seconds. This poison spreads to nearby enemies if the victim dies. Cannot affect the same target more often than once every 20 seconds. This poison also decreases enemy movement speed by 6% Unlocks at Rank 3
The Hunger	Heal 40% base damage +567 Life each time you defeat an enemy. Cannot occure more often than once every 20 seconds. Increases your attack speed by 4%nfor 3 seconds after defeating an enemy. Unlocks at Rank 3
Trickshot Gem	Your Channeled skills consume energy 8.00% slower. Decrease all damage you take by 0.5% while using a Channel skill. Unlocks at Rank 3

Whirlwind Focused Elder Rift Build

This build capitalizes on Whirlwind's amazing AoE range and damage by supplementing it with added damage, movement speed, and attack speed to quickly clear out foes when you take on Bounties and Elder Rifts solo.

Legendary Gear Setup

The core Legendary items of this build are Eager Maelstrom, Ydama's Cyclone, and The Gathering. These three items directly boost Whirlwind's effectiveness by increasing its radius, improving its damage, and making it pull in all enemies it damages.

The Remembered and Lasting Hate supplement the build by improving Hammer of the Ancients's utility and Wrath of the Berserker's duration.

Determination is not necessary for the build to function, but its improved Furious Charge is a good alternative to Hammer of the Ancients if you don't own The Remembered.

Set Gear Choice

For this build, Grace of the Flagellant is the set of choice. It directly synergizes with Whirlwind by improving Channeled damage and providing benefits whenever you hit enemies multiple times.

Legendary Gem Setup

Trickshot Gem is core to the build as it increases the channeling duration of Whirlwind.

Blood-Soaked Jade, Seeping Bile, and Chained Death are used in the build as they improve the damage potential of Whirlwind.

Blessing of the Worthy and The Hunger are used to provide extra utility and survivability to the build.

Prioritize spending points in the Vanquisher tree to get Zeal and Wrath as soon as possible. These two skills increase movement speed and damage dealt, which directly synergizes with Whirlwind and the rest of the build's kit.

Afterwards, invest some points into Treasure Hunter to get Swift Learner and Gold Find, boosting your Experience and Gold gain as you clear out Elder Rifts.

Lastly, put points into Survivor to get Unyielding and Escape Artist, improving your survivability as a melee class.

The primary combo highlighted by this build is Whirlwind + Wrath of the Berserker. Wrath of the Berserker's added attack speed directly affects the frequency at which Whirlwind deals damage, greatly boosting area-of-effect DPS.

In addition, using Wrath of the Berserker and Sprint before activating Whirlwind negates some of its movement speed loss, allowing you to better maneuver through enemies while channeling it.

Hit-and-Run with Sprint and Whirlwind

The core gameplay of this build involves running towards Elite Monsters with Sprint, and grouping them up and clearing them out with Whirlwind.

You will want to keep Sprint active at all times to ensure that you're always moving from target to target as fast as possible.

When using Whirlwind, always stay moving to hit as many targets as possible while dodging attacks and projectiles that come towards you.

Activate Wrath of the Berserker Against Tough Monsters

Once you reach the Rift Guardian, Elite Monsters, or a large group of mobs, activate Wrath of the Berserker and keep it off cooldown.

This ability increases your attack speed and movement speed, enhancing the potency of Whirlwind and Lacerate.

However, make sure not to waste your uses of Wrath of the Berserker since it has a 30-second cooldown.

Keep Hammer of the Ancients Off Cooldown

Always use Hammer of the Ancients whenever it's active. The enhanced effect it obtains from The Remembered drastically improves your survivability by allowing you to interrupt enemy skills with the stun and by summoning a Spirit that will fight alongside you.
