How to Use the Town Portal

Town Portals are an in-game ability that players can access at anytime to teleport to friendly locations in Diablo Immortal. Read on to learn more about the Town Portal, where you can activate it, and what places you can go to!

Access Through the Map or Inventory

Town Portal Triggers

There are two primary ways that players can access and make use of Town Portals. These are either through the Map – which players can click/tap on at the top right corner of the screen – or through the inventory screen near the bottom.

The Town Portal icon is represented by an oblong blue icon.

Select a Location to Teleport To

After finding and then tapping/clicking on the Town Portal icon, a small menu will open up with locations that you can teleport to.

Locations such as Westmarch are one of the locations that players can move to. The Nearest Safe Zone option, meanwhile, will simply teleport players to the nearest Safe Zone with respect to their current location to the map.

Where Can You Teleport From?

Most Hub Zones

Hub Zones are characterized as areas where players can see and interact with others. It can be thought of as a "shared space" where players can do most interactions with one another.

From these areas, players can either Town Portal to other locations such as Westmarch or to the nearest Safe Zones relative to their position on the map.

Cannot Teleport from Dungeons

Certain locations in the game, such as Dungeons, Elder Rifts, Challenge Rifts, and Hidden Lairs all block a player's access and use of Town Portals. Players will have to either exit these locations through the way they came in, or complete all the objectives that can be found within each in order to leave these locations.
