Blacksmiths are NPCs in Diablo Immortal that allow players to salvage unwanted gear, improve their current gear, and refine Scoria for the Helliquary. Read on to learn more about Blacksmiths and the services they provide!
What Can You Do at the Blacksmith? | ||

Salvage Items for Materials
Upgrade Items to Increase Gear Rank
Transfer Gear Ranks
Reforge Legendary Items
Refine Scoria into Hellfire Scoria
|
In the Blacksmith's Salvage menu, you can salvage and break down unwanted gear into different types of crafting materials.
Normal, Magic, Rare, and Legendary items each provide different types and numbers of crafting materials when salvaged.
You can use the crafting materials obtained from salvaging to Upgrade your gear, so make sure to salvage often so that you always have the materials to keep your gear as powerful as possible.
If you decide to salvage an upgraded item, it refunds all of the materials and Gold you used to upgrade it.
In addition, salvaging an item with Gems socketed will also automatically unsocket them for use on different gear.
Item Quality | Crafting Material |
---|---|
Normal Item | 1 Scrap Materials |
Magic Item | 3 Scrap Materials |
Rare Item | 1 Enchanted Dust |
Legendary Item | 1 Glowing Shard |
In the Blacksmith's Upgrade menu, you can upgrade and increase the gear rank of Rare, Legendary, and Set items. Doing so requires a hefty sum of Gold alongside numerous crafting materials.
Increasing your equipment's gear rank is vital as doing so boosts the attributes they provide, making it one of the best ways to raise Combat Rating and increase character power.
In addition, Legendary items gain Bonus Attributes at Rank 6, 11, and 16, which further enhances them with new randomly-rolled boosts and effects.
While you can quickly transfer gear ranks by swapping two pieces of gear with different ranks, you can also do this in the Blacksmith's Rank Transfer menu.
The Rank Transfer service is free of charge, but note that gear ranks can only be transferred between items of the same category.
Once you upgrade a Legendary item to Rank 6, you unlock the Reforge tab of the Blacksmith.
Reforging Legendary items allows you to reroll their Bonus Attributes to better fit your build or playstyle.
Reforging requires the use of Reforge Stones, which can be normal or specialized towards specific attributes.
Normal Reforge Stones can be obtained by simply playing through the game, but specialized Reforge Stones can only be purchased using real money.
Once you unlock the Helliquary, you gain access to the Refine Scoria option at the Blacksmith.
Refining Scoria is important as it turns it into Hellfire Scoria, which is used to upgrade the Helliquary and provide you with permanent Combat Rating boosts.
In Diablo Immortal, Blacksmiths are who you will visit to upgrade your gear and boost the stats they provide, increasing your Combat Rating.
The Blacksmith also offers other services such as salvaging unwanted gear, performing rank transfer between two items of different gear ranks, reforging Bonus Attributes of your Legendary items, and refining Scoria.
Charsi the Blacksmith can be found in Westmarch, but you can also find blacksmiths throughout the world in Diablo Immortal.
They are marked on your World Map with an Anvil icon that you can easily select and Navigate towards.
