Past Diablo games had the option of hiring Mercenaries and Followers, but they might not make a return in Diablo Immortal. Read on to find out about the status of Followers and Mercenaries in Diablo Immortal, as well as alternatives for in-game allies.

Does Diablo Immortal Have Followers or Mercenaries?

Followers and Mercenaries are Unconfirmed

Diablo Immortal - Unconfirmed Followers
Currently, there has been no news regarding Followers and Mercenaries arriving in Diablo Immortal.

In addition, the past Alpha and Beta tests had no signs of Followers or Mercenaries, so their return in Diablo Immortal is unlikely.

However, given that the game is not out yet, this may change upon release.

Temporary Followers Exist

Diablo Immortal - Temporary Follower
Despite there being no permanent Followers or Mercenaries currently known about in-game, Temporary Followers do make a comeback in Diablo Immortal.

These Temporary Followers are story-related characters that assist the player as they go through Dungeons and defeat its boss, but they will disappear upon completion of the dungeon.

The current alternative to Followers or Mercenaries in Diablo Immortal is matching up with other people playing the game.

With Diablo Immortal being an MMO, you can easily find other players to Party with and complete Dungeons, Rifts, and Raids together.

Aside from Parties, Diablo Immortal also has Clans and Warbands, which are groups of players you can join and work together with in completing different in-game goals.

In addition, Warbands also offer extra rewards for all of its members when they successfully complete in-game activities, so grouping up with others is incentivized.
