Ifriss the Destroyer can be found in the Unseen Lair towards the end of the Quest Prologue – it is one of two bosses that must be defeated in the area, the other being Eskara.

How to Beat Ifriss the Destroyer

Attack Continuously Flank During Attacks

Attack Continuously

Coming off from the relatively easy fight against Eskara, Ifriss is easily the stronger of the two, and can prove to be quite the challenge. As soon as the fight starts, immediately start inflicting as much damage as you can – Ifriss is one of the earliest boss fights that feature multiple health bars for the enemy, which is a challenge for early level characters.

Flank During Attacks

Done with ease during his Fire Breath attack, you can maneuver your way to Ifriss attacks once it is rooted to the spot while performing the attack. This allows you a significant amount of time to cause him damage while also forcing it to maneuver around to face you, allowing for more hits while it does so.

Ifriss the Destroyer Attack Patterns

Fire Breath

Usually performed after it does several repetitions of its regular melee attacks (it will try to hit you with its maw), Ifriss will move its head from side to side with fire spewing from its mouth. This attack is easy to avoid, and offers you an opening as it leaves him vulnerable to any flanking maneuvers you can do.

Rock Fall

Ifriss will slam itself down on the ground causing rocks to fall from above. The landing areas of these rocks can be seen by the subtle circles on the ground before the rocks hit.

Summons

Ifriss is also capable of summoning 10 regular enemies to fight for him. These enemies are rather weak, and can be easily taken care of but do pose a serious risk of blocking your attacks against Ifriss itself, so deal with them as soon as possible.
