Ancient Arena Zone Event Overview & Schedule

Basic Information

Event Schedule

The event occurs on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday at 9:30 PM. This is based on server time so be sure to check your server's time zone or you might miss the event.

In addition, traveling to Bilefen near the time of the event provides a countdown timer for Ancient Arena pinned to your Quest Log, allowing you to know when the next instance of the event will start.

Only available on Hell difficulties

Take note that the countdown timer and the Ancient Arena event itself will only appear and trigger after setting the difficulty to Hell I or higher.

How to Complete Ancient Arena

Set the World Difficulty to Hell

Before you can participate in the Ancient Arena event, know that the event is only available in Hell difficulties. So if you haven't yet, return to Westmarch, open your map, and change the World Difficulty to at least Hell I.

Enter the Ancient Arena in Bilefen

Make your way to the Ancient Arena found at the northeastern corner of Bilefen. Once the event starts, players cannot enter the Ancient Arena until it ends, so make sure to arrive early to not miss out on this zone event.

Party Up with Nearby Players

In addition, since this zone event is PvP-focused, party up with other nearby players before it starts. Look for higher levelled players whose class builds will synergize well with your own to improve your chances of victory in the Ancient Arena.

Defeat Other Players in the Arena

Only one team of players can claim the Nephalem Cache for themselves, so defeat the other teams in the Ancient Arena to secure your rewards.

Defeating other teams is crucial as players drop Energy Globes on death in the Ancient Arena. These Globes enhance your character for the duration of the event and make it easier to achieve victory.

Defeat the Ancient Guardian

After eliminating your competition, defeat the Ancient Guardian keeping the Nephalem Cache sealed in the center of the Ancient Arena.

Players cannot open the Nephalem Cache until this boss is defeated, so quickly defeat them to obtain your rewards.

Open the Nephalem Cache for Rewards

When all of your opponents are defeated, unlock the Nephalem Cache at the center of the Arena to complete the event and claim your rewards.

The Nephalem Cache awards a guaranteed Legendary Item and 6 Enchanted Dust, making Ancient Arena one of the best Zone Events to catch.
