How to Use Gems

Equip in Gear Slots

Step 1	Go to the equipment screen.
Step 2	Choose the piece of equipment you want to equip a gem on. The item's gem socket should be vacant to equip a gem.
Step 3	Select the Gem that suits the equipment best. Don't forget that Gems can be freely removed and replaced without consequences.

Note: Normal Gems can only be equipped to equipment that allows a specific gem color, either Red, Yellow, or Blue

To use equip any Gem, players simply need to equip them to their character's gear slot. For Legendary Gems there are a total of 6 primary gear slots per character and players can equip a legendary gem for each one. Normal Gems can be equipped on to the neck, rings, hands, waist, feet.

How to Upgrade Gems

Upgrade Normal Gems Using Copies and Echo Crystals

Normal Gems can be upgraded by fusing three Normal Gems of the same level. This method will only work until Rank 5 until players are required to use an Echo Crystal alongside three Normal Gems in order to upgrade a Normal Gem to Rank 6 and above.

Upgrade Legendaries Using Copies and Gem Power

Legendary Gems can be upgraded using copies of the same gem regardless of their rank. Players will need 5 of the same Legendary Gems in order to upgrade them to a higher rank.

What are Gems?

Normal Gems Are Socketed to Gain Stats

Normal gems will boost the attributes of your character. For example, gems can boost life, potency, resistance, armor penetration, and many more. Use these along with Legendary Gems to build your character!

Legendary Gems Grant New Effect Bonuses

Legendary Gems are powerful items that boost another item's base attribute as well as possess strong unique effects. These effects can range from increasing damage output to inflicting status effects and many more.
