I've always named the protagonist in any MegaTen game I've played Dante Amagi, because of the infamous label on the European copy of nocturne, that proudly stated that it "Features Dante from the Devil May Cry Series" and because I named my character that I could technically say that any MegaTen game "Featured" "Dante".

The main character isn’t female? She looks female with the short hair and even more female after merging with the dude thing. Not that that means they’re female just was assuming and quite liked it Altho the short hair is my preference
I like to name characters “I say,” because then when NPCs address me, they sound like upset 19th century English people.
