The main character is a third-year high school student living in Tokyo. His peaceful days are suddenly disrupted after he unexpectedly gets transported to Da'at, a demon-filled wasteland, after a tunnel collapses around him.

After arriving in Da'at the protagonist is attacked by demons, but is saved by fusing with Aogami to become the Nahobino.

Tao Isonokami

Tao Isonokami is a high school student and friend to the main character. She is also a saint of Bethel, an organization formed to defend against demons.

Tao begins having strange dreams, and questions whether the world she lives in is real.

Yuzuru Atsuta

Yuzuru Atsuta is an honor student and older brother to Miyazu Atsuta. He looks out for his sister, as she often frequents the nurses office due to her frail condition.

Yuzuru obtains the Demon Summoning Program from Hayao Koshimizu and becomes involved in Bethel's activities after being confronted by the uncomfortable reality that demons exist.

Miyazu Atsuta

Younger sister of Yuzuru Atsuta and a friend of the main character. She has a condition leaving her physically weak which causes Yuzuru to worry, but she also worries about her brother.

A classmate and friend of the main character. Ichiro admits he is not great at school, but he still wants to make himself useful. His hobby is making videos, which leads him to investigate a suspicious tunnel. It then collapses, leaving those involved in Da'at.

Shohei Yakumo

A mysterious man that appears in Da'at wearing a military uniform. Shohei Yakumo's goal is to hunt down all demons, although he himself is strongly connected to a demon known as Nuwa who has been with him since he was a boy.

A demon who accompanies Shohei Yakumo. She has been by Shohei's side since he was a young boy. They seem to be working towards a common goal, however their motivations are still unclear.

Abdiel is an Archangel and leader of Bethel's forces. She acts as a strict battle commander and is ready to face any opposition to the organization whether it be demon or human.

Aogami

A powerful being that saves the main protagonist by fusing with him in Da'at to become the Nahobino. Aogami also bears a striking resemblance to Hayao Koshimizu.

Hayao Koshimizu

Hayao Koshimizu is the Prime Minister of Japan and the leader of Bethel's Japan branch. He gives the Demon Summoning Program to Yuzuru Atsuta and Ichiro Dazai to help fight against the demons. Bears a striking resemblance to Aogami.

Sophia is the otherwordly resident of the World of Shadows. She aids in the protagonist's journey by providing upgrades and features that can help Nahobino in his progress.
