SMTV: Vengeance is Roughly 75-80 Hours

To finish the game in 75-80 hours, it is recommended that you:

・ Play both Canon of Creation and Canon of Vengeance
・ Play on the Safety difficulty setting
・Only play through one of the multiple endings for each Canon
・Only fuse demons that are necessary for the recommended strategies to take down bosses
・Skip optional content when possible

Since Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is a story heavy game, it is recommended that you adopt this playstyle after your first full experience with the game.

However, if you're aiming for just a quick first impression of the series and its gameplay, a first playthrough with this approach may also be right for you.

Average First Playthrough is Roughly 150 Hours

Is SMT 5 a Sequel

To finish the game in 150 hours, it is recommended that you:

・ Play both Canon of Creation and Canon of Vengeance
・Play through one of the multiple endings casually
・Fuse demons freely.
・Complete subquests that are easily accessible

This playstyle is recommended for first playthroughs, allowing you to get a small taste of everything, but not necessarily complete every aspect of the game.

To complete the game and achieve a playtime of 250+ hours it is recommended that you:

・ Play both Canon of Creation and Canon of Vengeance
・Complete each of the multiple endings for both Canons
・Fuse all demons
・Complete all subquests
・Complete all base game DLCs which are now free in Vengeance

Since Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance has multiple endings for both Canon of Creation and Canon of Vengeance, experiencing everything the game has to offer will take time.

That being said, subsequent playthroughs will go by much more quickly due to stats and demons carrying over into New Game+ depending on how you finish the previous playthrough.

Additionally, the DLCs from the base game are now all free in SMTV: Vengeance, so completing these subquests will take time as well.
