Learning the Combat Basics

After forging a bond with Aogami and transforming to Nahobino, you will fight against a demon and learn how to fight.

Follow the tips that appear on your screen to defeat the Daemon. Here, you will learn the basics of combat such as attacking, using skills, and affinities. Reduce your enemy's HP to 0 to win the battle and level up.

Beginner's Guide

Save Often in Leyline Founts

The blue pillars of light called Leyline Fount allows you to save your progress, as well as access Gustave's shop, recover HP and MP, and fast travel.

Make a habit of saving your progress each time you run into a fount as you can potentially lose a lot of progress if you unexpectedly fall in battle.

Destroying the Abscess in Mita

Demon That Appear

We recommend recruiting a Slime and an Onmoraki with you before approaching it and make sure to save beforehand. Demons will spawn around as you get near. You can ignore these and waltz straight to the Abscess. Slash it to initiate the battle.

This Abscess inhabits 3 Mandrake, all are weak to Fire, so use Agi on each of them. Using Omagatoki: Critical before you attack makes quick work of this gang.

Destroying the Abscess in Hamamatsucho

This Abscess will send in a Mermaid which is weak to Fire and Electric attacks. We recommend recruiting a Cait Sith for an additional member that can spam Zio.

Destroying the Abscess in Shiba Park

Northeast of Hamamatsucho's leyline fount is a narrow path leading to a group of Daemon. Recruit one of them as you'll need it for the next Abscess. Level up a bit until Nahobino is around Lvl 10 to make the next fight more doable.

Head southwest to reach the Abscess in Shiba Park. Bring Pixie, Cait Sith, and Daemon along with you to face 2 Sudama, both weak to Fire and Ice attacks.

Preparing for Hydra

Save your progress in the leyline fount near the Tokyo Tower and start preparing for the upcoming boss fight if you're not yet ready. We recommend bringing Mermaid, Angel, and Apsaras and your team should be around lv15.

Take note that there are other possible combinations!

Fuse a demon who knows Bufu to Nahobino and if you have the essence of Daemon, you can fuse it as well to gain Fire resistance. You can obtain a Daemon essence from a treasure box northeast of Hamamatsucho's leyline fount.

Tips and Strategy
Weak to Electric Learn how to utilize guest characters

This Vengeance-only boss introduces a new mechanic to the game: Guest Characters. These party members will join you temporarily in battle and may join you afterwards and they behave and play like regular demons. Yuzuru and Yoko joins your party and automatically takes the place of your first two demons.

Take advatange of Rakunda

Yuzuru's Rakunda skill is a great debuff to inflict on Glasya-Labolas, lowering its defense by 1 rank. Combining this with Yoko's Zio skill, as well as Nahobino's starting Zio skill will deal massive damage to it.

Spam Zio Skills

We recommend grabbing Gremlin, who has learned Zio, or a healer like Pixie to keep your character's HP up. Spam Zio and Yuzuru's Gram Slice and Rakunda to quickly bring this boss down.

Don't forget to activate Omagatoki: Critical at the start of your turn to increase your damage output.

How to Beat Glasya-Labolas Boss Fight

Hydra

Recommended Level: 15
Tips and Strategy
Weak to Ice Bring Fire Dampeners Bring Dark Dampeners

The recommended team has demons that can dish out massive damage to Hydra with their Ice attacks but are in turn, weak to Fire. Since Hydra uses Fire attacks, bring a few Fire Dampeners to protect your attackers while spamming Bufu. Use a Dark Dampener after Hydra builds up Magatsuhi as it's most likely to use Toxic Breath next turn.

Don't forget to activate Omagatoki: Critical at the start of your turn to increase your damage output.
