How to Beat Metatron

Use Only Physical, Dark, and Almighty Attacks

Since Metatron is resistant to every type other than Physical and Dark, your team, including the Nahobino, should have Physical, Dark, and Almighty skills up their sleeves. Otherwise, you won't deal much damage to Metatron and will just drag the battle.

Obtain the Aogami Type-0 Essence

If you're using a Strength build on the Nahobino, we recommend acquiring the Aogami Type-0 Essence and learning Murakumo. Murakumo deals severe Strength-based Almighty damage, which deals more damage if it critically hits.

The Magatsuhi skill Omagatoki: Critical and the passive skill Critical Zealot are some great skills to mix with Murakumo to increase its damage output.

You can obtain this essence from a treasure box on the west side of Asakusa.

Bring Light Dampeners

Metatron will use Mahamabarion the next round after gathering Magatsuhi. Since it is a guaranteed Severe critical hit to your team, you'll need to use a Light Dampener to block the attack and make him lose press turn icons, unless your entire team can block Light attacks naturally.

Strong Physical attackers

Metatron has no weaknesses and is resistant to every type except for Physical and Dark. You'll need to bring demons that can dish out high damage with either Physical, Dark, or Almighty skills.

For the attacker role, you might want to have Futsunushi as a staple demon since he has strong Physical skillset, +6 Physical proficiency, and Phys Pleroma. Back him up with Kali, Thor, Seth, or Mara to further ramp up your firepower.

You'd also want to make sure that your team is resistant to Light since Metatron's damaging skills are either Light or Almighty.

Lakshmi or Tao as support

Lakshmi's Luster Candy and Tao's Light of Order are some neat Support skills that can raise your entire party's stats. Since Metatron can use Dekaja to remove these buffs, it is better to use these skills at the beginning of your turn or when Metatron starts gathering Magatsuhi, which you can immediately end by using a Light Dampener.

They can also use Recovery and other Support skills and are both resistant to Light so you won't have problems keeping them alive in the boss fight.

Fire of Sinai +6	Unique Skill: Medium 3~7 Almighty attacks to random foes.
Mahamaon +5	Heavy Light attack to all foes. Chance of instakill when striking weakness.
Megidolaon +6	Severe Almighty attack to all foes.
Tarukaja +2	Raises Attack of 1 ally by 1 rank for 3 turns.
Dekunda +2	Negates status debuff effects on all allies.
Dekaja +2	Negates status buff effects on all foes.
