This is a full walkthrough and guide for The Gold Dragon's Arrival sidequest in Shin Megami Tensei V (SMT 5). Read on to figure out where to find the sidequest, how to complete it, and what rewards you can receive.

Gold Dragon's Arrival Location

To take on this quest, warp to the Onarimon Leyline warp point and continue past the two Aitvaras. Go up a steep sand dune to find Kohryu, the quest giver of The Gold Dragon's Arrival.

How to Complete The Gold Dragon's Arrival

Objectives
1	Find Xuanwu near the Kamiyacho Leyline. From the Leyline warp point, go straight and take a right to find this boss.
2	Defeat Xuanwu - Lv. 23 Weakness: Fire
3	From the Nagatacho Leyline, head up the sand dune to the Southwest to find Baihu.
4	Defeat Baihu: Lv. 43 - Weakness: Force
5	From the Tokyo Tower Leyline warp point, hug the left wall and continue down the path. Continue left when there is a slight fork in the road.
6	Defeat Zhuque: Lv. 43 - Weakness: Ice
7	From the Hamamatsucho Leyline, head East on the map and Qing Long will be near the ruins of a building.
8	Defeat Qing Long: Lv. 45 - Weakness: Electric
9	Returning and reporting to Huang Long unlocks a new quest that allows you to fight him.

How to Beat Xuanwu

Genbu is level 23 with a high defense stat and a weakness to Fire-type attacks. Bring Demons that know Agi and Rakunda to hit the boss' weakness and lower it's high defense. Also Xuanwu uses Ice-based attacks so make sure your party has members that resist or block Ice-type attacks. Defeat this boss to recieve Xuanwu's Essence.

How to Beat Baihu

Baihu is level 43 and is weak to Force-type attacks and Confuse. Baihu has high Attack and Agility stats and uses Electric-type attacks. For this boss, it's recommended to bring demons that block or resist Electric attacks and have access to Force-type moves. Debuffs for Attack and Agility will also be useful in making the fight more doable. Defeat this boss to recieve Baihu's Essence.

How to Beat Zhuque

Zhuque is level 43, blocks fire, and is weak to Ice damage and Charm. Also Zhuque has a very high Magic stat, so bringing Demons that block or resist fire damage is highly recommended.

Zhuque can also cast Masukunda to raise it's evasion and accuracy, and Dekunda to remove any debuffs. Make sure to bring a Demon that can use a debuff to counteract Masukunda, but don't invest too many actions into debuffing Zhuque as Dekunda will nullify those effects. Defeat this boss to recieve Zhuque's Essence.

How to Beat Qing Long

Qing Long is level 45, is weak to Electric type attacks, but blocks Force and resists Ice-type attacks. This boss' attacks hit hard, but bringing along Demons that block or absorb Ice attacks will help the fight go more smoothly. Also Qing Long is susceptible to debuffs which you can use to your advantage. Defeat this boss to recieve Qing Long's Essence.
