This is a story walkthrough for reaching Tokyo Station in Shin Megami Tensei V (SMT 5). Read on for a full walkthrough to Tokyo Station including all objectives, all bosses, tips and strategies, decisions in this area, and all obtainable demons, essences, and items!

To Tokyo Station Objectives

Objectives

	Objective
1	Follow the train tracks north and destroy the Abscess of Sotokanda ▶ Abscess of Sotokanda tips and strategy
2	Head west to the other side then south to reach the leyline fount of Mansei Bridge
3	Slide down the slope west then make your way north to the leyline fount of Akihabara Electric Town, which is located northwest of the next Abscess
4	Travel southeast and destroy the Abscess of Akihabara ▶ Abscess of Akihabara tips and strategy
5	Warp back to Mansei Bridge's fount
6	Walk along the broken train northwest of the fount to get up the long bridge
7	Once you're on the bridge, travel northwest to the other side until you reach the leyline fount of Kanda-no-yashiro Hua Po will leave upon completing The Path to Myojin Forest but you can talk to her again if you need a navigator. You can also find Aogami Type-7's essence from the treasure box just below the fount.
8	Go up the stairs to the objective pointer to get the Akiha-Gongen Talisman
9	Warp back to Awajicho and save your progress
10	Approach the Angel and go past the wall of fire to face Surt Defeating Surt will complete Hellfire Highway. ▶ Surt boss fight guide
11	Head north to Kanda Bridge for a cutscene
12	Drop down and take the tunnel on the right until you reach an event with Decarabia in Tokyo Station He'll ask you to pay 20,000 Macca for information twice but you can get both info for free. He will also be your new quest navigator as The Augmented Goddess main quest begins.
13	Register the leyline fount of Tokyo Station
14	Go back to the other end of the tunnel, take the left path this time, and head north to register the leyline fount of Otemachi
15	Use the platforms nearby to further head north and destroy the Abscess of Otemachi If you go south instead after the platforms, you'll reach a treasure box containing the essence of Aogami Type-8. ▶ Abscess of Otemachi tips and strategy
16	Destroy all of Ishtar's devices All 7 of Ishtar's devices will be marked on your map. Destroying these is entirely optional but if you don't, Ishtar will attack 8 times during the fight. ▶ Ishtar device locations
17	Warp back to Tokyo Station, head to the marked location, and defeat Ishtar The Augmented Goddess will be completed after the fight and Lady Ishtar will be available for fusion. ▶ Ishtar boss fight guide

To Tokyo Station General Tips

Destroying the Abscess of Sotokanda

Dakini and Cu Chulainn will be guarding this Abscess. Dakini is weak to Ice and Light attacks while Cu Chulainn is weak to Electric attacks. They are both resistant to Physical so avoid wasting your turns using Physical attacks.

We recommend bringing Baihu against Cu Chulainn and Qing Long against Dakini.

Destroying the Abscess of Akihabara

Kushinada-Hime, Silky, and Sarasvati will appear to defend the Abscess. Kushinada-Hime is weak to Dark, Silky is weak to Fire, while Sarasvati is weak to both.

Bring Alice and/or Black Frost to deal with Kushinada-Hime and Sarasvati and a demon with strong Fire attacks like Dionysus to deal with Silky.

Take out Kushinada-Hime first as she can heal her whole team followed by Sarasvati as she can inflict Sleep on yours.

Destroying the Abscess of Otemachi

A Yurlungur will face you in this Abscess. You can choose to bring Fire users to target its weakness but you can also opt for demons with raw firepower like Baihu and Yoshitsune. Just don't bring demons weak to Electric as it can cast Ziodyne.

Also make sure to finish it off as soon as are able as it can cast Diarahan that fully restores its HP. You can also prevent it from using this skill by inflicting Seal.

Surt

Recommended Level: 49
Tips and Strategy
Weak to Ice Give Fire resistance to Nahobino Can use Counter

Surt's only weakness is Ice so bring demons like Black Frost and Qing Long for the damage dealing.

Fuse Nahobino with an essence that can allow him to block Fire attacks like Eligor and Dionysus. If you have demons in your team that can also block Fire, you'll have increased chances of Surt losing his turns.

Unless you can resist Physical attacks, using Strength-based attacks is not advisable as Surt might use Counter against them.

Tips and Strategy
Weak to Force and Dark Destroy her devices first Dominion as tank and support

Before you even attempt this fight, you might want to destroy her Magatsuhi devices first. Each device destroyed will decrease her turns per round by one, giving you the upper hand.

Bring demons like Mishaguji, Anubis, and Lahmu to target Ishtar's weakness to Dark.

Dominion is also an excellent demon for this boss fight. She can block most of Ishtar's skills and can even inherit Taunt from Power and use it in battle to raise the chances of being targeted.
