Does SMT V Have Multiplayer?

Only a Singleplayer Experience

Similar to other Shin Megami Tensei titles, as well as the spin-off Persona games, Shin Megami Tensei V will not have multiplayer features available at launch – the focus for the title will instead be towards being a lengthy story-driven game that will give players hours of gameplay on top of complex RPG mechanics.

No Announcement For Multiplayer

Since SMT V's announcement in 2017, there has been no official statement regarding the possibility of there being any multiplayer or co-op features that will come at launch. However, it may be possible for other online features to be present once the game releases, similar to Shin Megami Tensei IV's Streepass feature.

Possible Online Features

Player Data Sharing

As mentioned, SMT IV's Streetpass feature allows for player data to be shared with one another. Other titles that have featured online interactivity include Persona 5's Thieve's Guild, which allows players to see what decisions other players make during the games story progression.

Although it is not quite a fully-fledged multiplayer or co-op system, it may be possible, although not confirmed, for SMT V to have similar Online Features that allows for player-to-player interactivity.
