How to Beat Khonsu

Null Fire and Light Damage Use Bufudyne to Hit Khonsu's Weakness Use Debuffs and Dekunda Use Light Dampeners when Khonsu Charges Magatsuhi

Null Fire and Light Damage

Demons that null Fire and Light are ideal team members for this fight. If Khonsu targets an ally with these affinites with Agidyne or Hamaon, his turn will be reduced allowing you to get more damage in.

Physical damage is still a problem though, so make sure you have a decent healer on your team as well.

Use Bufudyne

Since Khonsu has no allies in this fight, using a single-target Ice-type attack is ideal. Use Bufudyne as often as possible in between debuffs and heals.

Use Debuffs and Dekunda

Since Khonsu can use Debilitate it's recommended that you use Dekunda to negate any debuffs to your team. Alternatively, you could use Tao's unique skill Light of Order to heal up, remove debuffs, and buff all party member's attributes by 1 stage. That being said, Light of Order costs far more MP than Dekunda, but it's recommended to have access to both skills.

Use Light Dampeners

When Khonsu starts charging Magatsuhi, have one party member use a Light Dampener. Khonsu only uses Mahamaon as a Magatsuhi attack, so you can deny the boss a turn and end the fight a bit sooner.

Best Demons to Use Against Khonsu

Bring Demons with Ice Skills

Demons that have access to Bufudyne are particularly useful in this fight. Sarasvati is a good option, however she is weak to Fire-type attacks, so it's best to teach her either Null Fire or Resist Fire to avoid getting hit by Khonsu's Agidyne.

Bring Demons that Null Fire and Light Damage

Jikokuten is highly recommended to bring along in this fight. He nulls both Fire and Light damage in addtion to naturally learning Marakunda which lowers the defense of all foes for 3 turns. If you teach him Bufudyne via fusion or essences, he becomes even more valuable against this boss.

Bring Demons with Debuffs and Dekunda

Since Khonsu has Debilitate which lowers all foes' attributes by 1 stage for 3 turns, it's best to make sure one ally has Dekunda to negate any debuffs to your party. Dominion is a good candidate as he naturally learns Dekunda and nulls Light damage.

Khonsu himself has no way of countering debuffs, so bring demons that have access to Debilitate, Matarunda, or Marakunda to have an easier time taking him down.
