Ailment

Ailment items will inflict different types of status ailments to enemies.

Item Effect
Charm Gem Chance of inflicting Charm to all foes.
Confusion Gem Chance of inflicting Confusion to all foes.
Mirage Gem Chance of inflicting Mirage to all foes.
Poison Gem Chance of inflicting Poison to all foes.
Sleep Gem Chance of inflicting Sleep to all foes.

Almighty

Almighty items will deal Almighty damage to enemies.

Almighty items are special in that they are not associated with any element and are useful in bypassing several types of defenses.

Item Effect
Life Drain Gem Weak Almighty HP/MP drain attack to 1 foe.
Spirit Drain Gem Weak Almighty MP drain attack to 1 foe.

Dark

Dark items will deal dark damage to enemies, and have a chance to instakill enemies if they are weak to Dark.

Item Effect
Dark Gem Heavy Dark attack to 1 foe. Chance of instakill when striking weakness.
Dark Shard Weak Dark attack to all foes. Chance of Instakill when striking weakness.

Light

Light items will deal light damage to enemies, and have a chance to instakill enemies if they are weak to Light.

Item Effect
Light Gem Heavy Light attack to 1 foe. Chance of instakill when striking weakness.
Light Shard Weak Light attack to all foes. Chance of instakill when striking weakness.

Elec

Elec items will deal electric damage to enemies.

Item Effect
Elec Gem Heavy Electric attack to 1 foe.
Elec Shard Weak Electric attack to all foes.

Fire

Fire items will deal fire damage to enemies.

Item Effect
Fire Gem Heavy Fire attack to 1 foe.
Fire Shard Weak Fire attack to all foes.

Force

Fire items will deal force damage to enemies.

Item Effect
Force Gem Heavy Force attack to 1 foe.
Force Shard Weak Force attack to all foes.

Ice

Fire items will deal ice damage to enemies.

Item Effect
Ice Gem Heavy Ice attack to 1 foe.
Ice Shard Weak Ice attack to all foes.

When to Use Combat Items

When Out of MP

If you are running low on MP and need an alternative source of damage, Combat Items are a reliable option, however, keep in mind that they are a limited resource.

Target Enemy Weaknesses

If you are facing an enemy with a particular weakness that none of your characters have a skill for, using a consumable to target that weakness can help get you out of a bad situation.

What Are Combat Items?

Combat Items are consumables that deal elemental damage to enemies. Combat items can be single-target or target all enemies.
