SMT V Seed of Life

This sidequest will only be available after choosing to Uphold God's Order and receiving the Seed of Life from Sophia at the World of Shadows after completing 75% of the Demon Compendium.

SMT V Maria Location

Once these conditions are met, you will have access to the sidequest by talking to Maria at the Empyrean.

How to Complete The Compassionate Queen

Objectives
1 Choose the Uphold God's Order route.
2 Receive the Seed of Life from Sophia at the World of Shadows after completing 75% of the Demon Compendium.

SMT V Maria Location
Talk to Maria at the Empyrean to access the sidequest.
4 Accept the sidequest and face Maria in a boss fight.
How to Beat Maria
5 Defeating Maria will complete the sidequest and will unlock her for Demon Fusion.

How to Beat Maria

SMT V Maria Fight

Throughout the fight, Maria will be consistently casting Mediarahan which heals her to max HP. It's important to exploit her weakness to Electricity to deal significant damage and gain extra Press Turns to end the fight as fast as possible.

Be sure to also bring demons that can Null/Drain/Repel Light and Force skills to cancel out her Press Turns when she attacks. Doing this lessens her chances of casting Mediarahan which will extend the fight.
