Magic is one of the five stats that you can raise in Shin Megami Tensei V. Learn what Magic does, how it affects your character, and if you should raise this stat!

Magic Stat Explanation

Increase Magic Damage

Magic increases damage of magic attacks. It also increases the effectivity of healing skills so the magic stat is viable for both magic builds and healer builds!

How to Raise Magic

Raise Magic by Leveling Up

The Magic stat can be raised by spending skill points when the Nahobito levels up. This can be done either by allocating a stat point to magic or by the random stat bonus earned from leveling up.

Does Not Increase MP

Raising Magic does not increase the amount of MP the Nahobino has. The only way to increase MP is by leveling up and it is important to consider this if you're going for a magic based build.

It's Recommended to Raise Magic

We recommend raising Magic as it increases the damage of several attacks that you have in your arsenal.

However, keep in mind that you will still be limited by the amount of MP that you have, so MP management is a must.
