Best Demons to Use Against Shohei Yakumo

Demons with Dark attacks

Shohei's only weakness is Dark. For the attackers, we recommend bringing Alice and Anubis. Though Alice can be difficult to obtain from fusion, she will be worth the effort as she has a large MP pool and can replenish MP herself with Spirit Drain, perfect for spamming Die For Me!.

Black Frost is also an excellent investment as you can use him against both Shohei and then Surt later on.

Parvati is highly recommended as support

If you plan to bring a healer with you, Parvati would be the best demon to fill the role. Her +4 proficiency on Recovery combined with Media/Dia and Heal Pleroma can keep your team healthy throughout the battle.

Cast Bowl of Hygieia, pass extra turns back to Parvati, then use Media to overheal your team, giving you extra health above the HP limit.

Weak to Dark Give Physical resistance to Nahobino Bring Elec Dampeners Get Aogami Type-5 for Nahobino

Give Physical Resistance to Nahobino

Shohei's skills mostly have Physical and Electric affinities. Fuse an essence to Nahobino that will give him resistance to Physical attacks like Black Ooze or Shiki-Ouji. Oni's essence won't work in this fight since it is weak to Electric.

Learn Taunt

If you decided to give Nahobino resistance to Physical attacks, Taunt might also prove useful by drawing Shohei's attacks from your allies. You can obtain Taunt from Power or Oni's essence.

Bring Elec Dampeners

When Shohei starts gathering Magatsuhi, use an Elec Dampener to block the following Mazionga.

Get Aogami Type-5

The Support skill Kannabi Veil reduces the damage received by all allies until next turn and can improve your team's survivability against Shohei's party-wide attacks, especially after he uses Tarukaja. You can also inherit its Mana Spring so Nahobino can use more skills.

You can obtain this skill from the essence of Aogami Type-5, which can be found at the end of South Shinagawa, near the Fairy Village.
