Skill | Description |
---|---|
Megido Flame | Unique Skill: Severe Fire damage to all foes with a piercing effect (ignores affinities). |
Agidyne | Heavy Fire damage to a single foe. |
Nihil Claw | 2~3 hits of heavy Physical damage to a single foe. |
Tentarafoo | Has a chance of inflicting Confusion to all foes. |
Madness Nails | 2~4 hits of heavy Physical damage to all targets at random. |
Marakunda | Lowers the defense of all foes by 1 stage for 3 turns. |
Makarakarn | Repels magic attacks for a single ally for 1 turn. |
Omagatoki: Critical | Magatsuhi Skill: All attacks, including magical attacks, will become Critical hits for all allies for 1 turn. |
Atropos | Siegfried | Lakshmi |
Black Frost | Camael | Mother Harlot |
Black Rider | Lahmu | Cleopatra |
Atropos naturally learns Bufubarion, so not only is it a good idea to have her in your party for this fight, but you can also use Atropos' essence to teach Nahobino or other demons this skill as well.
Just be aware that Atropos is weak against Fire damage, so it's best to teach her Null Fire which you can get from Chimera's essence.
Siegfried drains Physical damage making him a good option for dealing with Amon's physical attacks, but he is neutral against Fire damage. Since Amon's unique skill Megido Flame pierces through affinities anyway, Fire resistance is only useful against Agidyne.
However, a good option for a demon with Ice-type skills and fire resistance is Black Frost, although at this point there are demons with more powerful Ice-type skills available. If you teach him Bufubarion though, Black Frost can useful against this boss.
Since Amon has a few skills that can deal damage to the whole party it's best to bring a demon with Mediarahan to make sure that your party members survive the fight. Also Lakshmi naturally learns Luster Candy and Boon Boost which in combination will boost all party attributes by 1 stage for 4 turns.
Alternatively using Tao's special skill Light of Order to heal and buff the party simultaneously is also an effective option, however this skill only heals a medium amount of HP to the whole party. If you decide to use Tao, it's best to teach her Heal Pleroma from Parvati's essence.
Use Bufubarion Drain or Null Fire and Physical Damage Use Mediarahan to Heal the Party Use Amrita Sodas or Amrita Showers to Heal Confusion Use Buffs and Debuffs
|
Since Amon has no allies, using Bufubarion is highly recommended as it is the most powerful single-target Ice skill in the game. Use this skill as often as possible to extend your turn and deal more damage to the boss.
Since Amon's special skill Megido Flame pierces through affinities, prioritize nulling or draining Physical damage instead. Still, it's important to make sure that none of your party members are weak to Fire damage to ensure that Amon's turn will not extend by hitting any party member's weak point.
Amon's attacks hit hard, so be sure to heal up with Mediarahan. If your healer starts running low on MP, you can use a skill like Energy Drain or use an MP recovery item on a turn where your party has a decent amount of HP remaining. Energy Drain can be obtained from the essence of Nebiros.
If Amon casts Tentarafoo and successfully inflicts Confusion on one or more party members, be sure to have Amrita Sodas and Amrita Showers to recover. Alternatively, you can also teach your healer Me Patra which you can obtain from the essence of Anzu.
Buffing and debuffing is very effective in this fight since Amon's only debuff skill is Marakunda, which can easily be counteracted if you use Dekunda or Luster Candy. Using Tao's unique skill Light of Order is also an effective option if Tao is in your party.
