We recommend using a party consisting of Shiisaa, Feng Huang, and Kikuri-Hime for this fight. Nahobino and Shiisaa will act as your main damage dealers while Kikuri-Hime is on debuff duty, regularly casting Sukunda and Tarunda. Feng Huang will be your main healer with Media throughout the fight.
After charging Magatsuhi, Matador can use any of his offensive skills, but the most dangerous one is Andalucia which is a Physical multi-hit skill, and if your party isn't guarding, Matador's turn will extend and may take out your healers, ensuring a Game Over.
Phys Dampeners are a rare drop item that can be very helpful against Matador's Andalucia. If you have one, you can use it when he charges up Magatsuhi. If he uses Andalucia your party will block his attack and you can regain control faster. However, be aware that Matador could cast Mazan instead, so be prepared for either outcome.
Since Phys Dampeners are few and far between, this option is technically viable, but not recommended.
You can find Matador directly next to the Tamachi Leyline after accepting the quest from Sophia in the World of Shadows.

Matador's elemental weakness is Electric-type attacks, so prioritize bringing Demons that can learn Zio or higher variations of it. You will also want to have Demons that can use Sukunda and Tarunda to lower Matador's Evasion/Accuracy and Attack, respectively.
Kikuri-Hime is particularly useful against Matador as she blocks Force damage, has access to debuffs like Sukunda and Tarunda, and can cast Recarm to ressurect allies at level 25. If you level up a bit more she will also have access to Media making her even more valuable in this fight.
Feng Huang has access to Media right away at level 22, is resistant to Force damage, and can learn Rakunda to lower one foe's defense if fused from Fortuna. If you're planning on being higher level for this fight, you could switch to Kikuri-Hime. Alternatively you could use both and have Kikuri-Hime on debuff duty while Feng Huang acts as the main healer.
