How to Beat Horus

Hit Him with Force and Dark to Gain Turns Block His Light Attacks Keep His Buffs and Debuffs Under Control

Hit Him with Force and Dark to Gain Turns

Put your Zan and Mudo skills to good use so you gain the maximum of 8 moves every turn. Then you can use Physical attacks on him, since he has very low Vitality.

Block His Light Attacks

Having demons that can block Light in your party is a must. This will make him lose turns. If you don't have many Light-blocking demons in your compendium, you can buy Light Dampeners from Cadaver's Hollow and use them in battle. Alternatively, you can use a Divine Essence to learn Light Block.

Keep His Buffs and Debuffs Under Control

Use your own speed buffs and debuffs on Horus. If his Support skills are left unchecked, it will be much more difficult to land a hit on him. Sukunda and Masukukaja users in your party will do the trick. Another tactic to eliminating Horus' buffs would be to use Dekaja but that skill can be found in Kushinada-Hime, a Level 49 demon, and Yurlungur, a level 50 demon.

Best Demons to Use Against Horus

Demons Resistant to Light

Ironically, the best demon to use against Horus is Horus himself, since he is able to reflect Light attacks. Anubis is also very good, since he blocks Light attacks. Valkyrie also blocks Light attacks but may need to be given an Essence with Dark spells. Koumokuten and Mishaguji both resist Light attacks. Mishaguji also has the Resist Light skill, which strengthens defense against Light.

Demons That Have Force and Dark Attacks

Koumokuten also casts Mazanma, a powerful Force skill in addition to being resistant to Light magic. Anubis can cast Mudoon, a powerful single-target Dark spell. Mishaguji can learn Mamudoon, a powerful multi-target Dark spell, although it's not very efficient, since Horus is only 1 enemy. Hanuman has a very powerful Strength-based Force attack called Wind Dracostrike.

Demons with Speed Buffs and Debuffs

Horus can learn Masukukaja, which gives your party a speed boost, and is a good counter against the enemy Horus' speed debuffs. Hanuman can cast Masukunda, which lowers the enemy's Accuracy and Evasion.

Healers

Horus can also serve as your healer, since he has great healing capabilities in Diarama. Silky is a good 2nd consideration for a healer. Isis and Anubis could function as healers but they don't have healing spells right off the bat, and will need to learn them.
