To make this quest available, talk to the Cait Sith in the Fairy Village in Shinagawa. He will point you towards a Koppa Tengu in Tennozu Isle. The Koppa Tengu will give you the quest.

How to Complete Birds of a Feather

Objectives
1 Birds of a Feather 1
Talk to the Cait Sith in the Fairy village to unlock the quest. He will point you towards a Koppa Tengu in Tennozu Isle.
2 Birds of a Feather 2
Go to the Tennozu Isle Leyline Fount and talk to the Koppa Tengu. He wants a feather from a bird. Accept his quest.

Head to the Container Yard and head to the southeastern part of the area.
4 Birds of a Feather 4
You will need to get on top of the stacked shipping containers. Find these containers that look like stairs and jump all the way to the top.
5 Birds of a Feather 5
Position yourself on top of the objective marker on your minimap and wait for the Thunderbird. When the Thunderbird gets close enough, strike it with your blade to enter battle.
6 Birds of a Feather 6
Defeat Thunderbird to complete the quest objective.

7 Birds of a Feather 7
Return to Koppa Tengu and give him the Giant Bird's Feather to end the quest. You will receive 1 Feng Huang's Essence plus 9000 EXP.
