During the New Moon, Magatsuhi Crystals and demons previously defeated will respawn.
You can do this as many times as you wish to grind repeatedly without using Macca.
However, you will need to be far away enough on the minimap for them to respawn.
A good way to tell is that you cannot see the area you want respawns to happen on your minimap.

Talking to demons during battle will change depending on the Moon Phase.
Some demons who are more amiable to being recruited may refuse to be during a certain phase, while the inverse is true for others.
Sometimes this may lead to battles where there's no other option but to fight or escape.
On the Full Moon, the chance of Fusion accidents increases.
A Fusion accident happens when you merge two demons but instead of the expected result, you get a different demon altogether.
This may be a disadvantage a lot of times, but if you're lucky the result could be demon with a higher level than you.
Just in case, however, we recommend that you save before attempting to merge during a Full Moon!

There are 9 phases of the moon - New Moon, then it will count from 1-7, ending with the Full Moon.
Once it reaches the Full Moon, it will count down until it goes back to the New Moon.
