Weak to Ice Have Dekunda ready Stack stat debuffs Vulnerable to Ailments

Have Dekunda Ready

Belial often uses Debilitate until your stats are lowered by 2 ranks. Remove the stat debuffs immediately using Dekunda before they cause problems when attacking and defending since your attacks will deal less damage (and even miss) and your team will be squishy.

Stack Stat Debuffs

In addition to removing stat debuffs using Dekunda, you can also try stacking your own stat debuff skills on Belial since he doesn't have his own Dekunda.

Be sure to also keep your team healthy at all times, especially if your team doesn't have resistances to Dark and Fire attacks. Belial may also use Charge and Hell Thrust back to back so it's advisable to lower his Attack and Accuracy stats before then.

Vulnerable to Ailments

Belial is vulnerable to ailments but it will be difficult to land one considering his resistance to all ailments. Try using Ailment skills or items if you have press turns to spare or if you have skills that both deal damage and inflict ailments like Dark Sword.

We recommend inflicting Seal, Charm, and Sleep, especially when Belial uses Omagatoki: Critical.

Best Demons to Use Against Belial

Demons with high Physical skill potential

Bring demons with high Physical skill potential like Kali, Odin, and Futsunushi for the attacker role as they can deal more damage than striking Belial's weakness, even more if their attacks critically hit.

Ice skills for additional press turns

You can still bring demons with strong Ice skills for guaranteed press turn icons and decent damage. Alternatively, you can use Ice Shards or Ice Gems for demons with no Ice skills or when they run out of MP

Resistant to Belial's attacks

Belial mostly uses Dark and Fire skills. Have demons resistant to these affinities like Odin, Abaddon, and Kali for survivability and press turn burning. These demons also have high Physical skill potential so they can double as attackers as well.

High HP and Vitality

If you feel like your demons won't survive long against Belial (especially with his Charge > Hell Thrust combo), try using Health Incenses and Vitality Incences to improve their defenses. You can also give them Great Life Spring through fusion for a huge health boost.
