Status Ailments are negative effects in Shin Megami Tensei V (SMT 5) that a character can inflict on another. To know the complete list of status ailments in the game and how to cure them, read on!

| Status Ailment | Effect |
|---|---|
| Poison | Character takes damage every turn. |
| Mirage | Character may attack a target that's not specified but with decreased accuracy. |
| Charm | Character will attack their own allies and attempt to heal enemies. |
| Confusion | Character will act in a random manner. They can attack an ally, an enemy, or do nothing. |
| Sleep | Prevents character from acting. |
| Seal | Prevents character from performing any skills. |
In order to cure these status ailments, you can use an item like Amrita Soda.
This is a one-time use item that will cure any status ailment on an ally.
Some skills can also be used to cure status ailments.
An example of a common skill that is used to remove status ailments is Patra.
