How to Beat Abdiel

How to Beat Abdiel

Weak to Dark Only attacks Nahobino Give Nahobino resistance to Light Bring Fire Dampeners

Only Attacks Nahobino

Unless one of your allies uses Taunt or Fierce Roar, Abdiel will focus her attacks on Nahobino and will only hit your allies when she uses Light's Descent and Maragidyne. Make sure to keep him healthy with Recovery skills/items and use buffs that will increase his Defense and Evasion like Rakukaja and Sukukaja.

Tetrakarn is also a neat trick to use to both reflect the damage back to Abdiel and end her turn earlier.

Using Counter or Retaliate

Giving the Nahobino Counter or Retaliate through essence fusion can also help in chipping Abdiel's health each time she attacks him with a Physical skill.

Give Nahobino Resistance to Light

Make sure your MC is not weak to Light as it's all over for you when Abdiel instakills him with Light's Descent. Fuse an essence to the Nahobino that will make him block Light attacks like Anubis' essence.

Bring Fire Dampeners

Abdiel will use Maragidyne the next round after gathering Magatsuhi. Since it is a guaranteed critical hit to your team, use a Fire Dampener to block the attack and make her lose her turns.

Best Demons to Use Against Abdiel

Demons with Dark attacks and resistance to Light

You can use Abdiel's weakness to Dark to deal more damage and gain additional turns but you'd also want your demons to be resistant, or at least not weak, to Light as Abdiel can use Light's Descent on your entire party. Examples of demons with such proficiency and affinity are Lahmu, Atavaka, and Flauros.

Cast Tetrakarn on the Nahobino

Since Abdiel only attacks the Nahobino directly using mostly Physical attacks, having a demon cast Tetrakarn on him will reflect the damage back to Abdiel and axe her turn icons.
