White Terror Boss Fight Tips |
---|
|
White Terror will gradually gather Energy during battle. You can deplete it each time you successfully block its attacks or keep damaging with attacks. Applying pressure on White Terror will make it more susceptible to being staggered, turning the battle into your favor.
Earsplitting Howl is a barrage of attacks from White Terror that can hit all your characters in battle. Move away from White Terror once you see the prompt so you will have more room to dodge or block it.
All enemies suffer from increased damage once they are staggered. Don't let that chance pass by and use all of your powerful attacks once White Terror is staggered.
If you have Limit Break up for any characters, don't hesitate to use them to eliminate White Terror faster!

You can parry the White Terror's attacks to negate the incoming damage. Do this by perfectly timing your block at the exact moment the White Terror attacks you. Having a Precision Defense Focus Materia extends the timing window, allowing you to do so much more consistently.
How to Counter and Parry Attacks
Immediately move away as soon as the White Terror casts the Earsplitting Howl. This ability summons multiple fire projectiles that can wipe out your entire team. If you are having a difficult time parrying or dodging all of them, you can instead keep your distance and hold block to drastically reduce its damage. Equipping a Steadfast Block Materia will further reduce the incoming damage and slightly fill up your ATB gauge.
At the start of the fight, try to immediately use Lifesaver and Steelskin to reduce all incoming damage to your party. This will allow your whole team to survive a direct hit from the Earsplitting Howl.
Barret Best Builds and Weapons
You can learn the Lifesaver ability from the Barrage Blaster weapon. If you are able to max out its proficiency, you will be able to use the Lifesaver ability even if you have a different weapon equipped.
Barrage Blaster Abilities, Stats, and Skills
Use Barret's Bonus Round ability along with Overcharge to build up the stagger meter as you deal damage against the White Terror. This will give you a short window to deal as much damage as possible before the White Terror can get up.
How to Pressure and Stagger Enemies
Upon staggering the White Terror, use all of your powerful attacks and unleash your limit break to finish off the White Terror.
Since you need to consistently heal all members of your party, it is highly recommended that you use Curaga + Magnify to keep them all alive. However, if you do not have a Magnify Materia available, using the Prayer Materia is also a good option rather than healing your team members one by one.

A ferocious grasslands wolf living apart from all known packs in the region. It was once left grievously wounded after losing a battle for dominance, but was able to survive by sheltering at a nearby lifespring. It gradually amasses energy over time. Dealing damage of blocking its attacks will cause it to lose energy. Once all its energy has been depleted, it will becom pressured. |
You can encounter White Terror during the Livestock's Bane side quest. You will have to track White Terror using a Chocobo and Red XIII's nose to get to his location.
