Shankhalopod is the World Intel Enemy found in the Hit the Squids Combat Assignment. This can be accessed after activating the Costa Port Tower in Corel during Chapter 7.

How to Pressure Shankhalopod |
---|
Exploiting its elemental weakness will pressure it. While hiding in its shell, it is impervious to basic attacks, but hitting it with powerful abilities will force it to come out. |
You can easily pressure Shankhalopods by casting Fire spells against them. Equip a Fire Materia in order to gain access to Fire spells.
After pressuring them with Fire spells, use any Abilities like Cloud's Focused Thrust to build up their stagger meter.
How to Pressure and Stagger Enemies
Shell Spinner is one of Shankhalopod's annoying abilities but you can easily stop them from doing this by switching to Cloud's Punisher Mode and blocking this attack.
