Lavalisk are the World Intel Enemy found in the Scorched Earth Combat Assignment. Players must first complete Activation Intel 4: Piedmont Tower, and then have a Mountain Chocobo for a mount to climb walls during Chapter 4 in Junon.

Lavalisks are weak to Ice attacks so use this to your advantage and pressure them. Equip your team with Ice materia so you can repeatedly cast Ice spells, and eventually they will stagger.
