Quetzalcoatl Talon is a material in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (FF7 Rebirth) obtained by beating Quetzalcoatl, that is needed to craft the Windmill Gear.

You can get the Quetzalcoatl Talon by defeating the Classified Foe, Quetzalcoatl. When you do, you will automatically get the item since it is the enemy's common drop.

Quetzalcoatl Weaknesses and Drops

Scan 4 Life Springs in the Grasslands Region

To find Quetzalcoatl, you will first need to scan 4 life springs in the Grasslands. Doing this will reveal the Classified Intel: Winged Lacertilian of Yore, which is just by the mako pipeline maintenance warehouse in the desert area.

Crafts the Windmill Gear for a Quest

FF7 Rebirth - Craft Windmill Gear

You can craft the Windmill Gear if you obtained the transmuter chip during Excavation Intel 1 in the Grasslands. However, it will require your Craftsmanship to be at Level 4 before you can actually craft it. This item is required to complete the Where the Wind Blows side quest during Chapter 2.

The required materials to craft Windmill Gear are the following:

  • Quetzalcoatl Talon x1
  • Iron Ore x2
  • Lea Titanium x1
  • Beast Bone x5
