Dueling Shield

Dueling Shield is a Thrusting Shield in Elden Ring DLC Shadow of the Erdtree that scales with Strength and Dexterity. Read on to learn how to get the Dueling Shield, as well as its location, description, upgrades, stat requirements, and best Ashes of War.

Dueling Shield Location

Note: The Dueling Shield is only available if you own the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.

Looted from a Cropse in the Specimen Storehouse Third Floor

The Dueling Shield can be looted off of a corpse at the Third Floor of the Specimen Storehouse. The platform where you find the corpse will be next to the southern walkway of the Third Floor (where you encounter a single Fire Knight peering over the balcony railing).

To reach the Specimen Storehouse, you will first need to gain access to the Shadow Keep. This can be done by either going through the main entrance and fighting the Golden Hippo, or by reaching the Storehouse, Back Section via the Church District.

How to Find the Dueling Shield in the Specimen Storehouse

Note: If you're coming from the Storehouse Back Section, you can drop down to the sealed library section with the Boltdrake Talisman +3. Then, use the lever nearby to open a bookshelf that should take you to the start of Step 2 in the guide below.

Step-by-Step Guide
1
From the Storehouse, First Floor site of grace, go north and follow the narrow path between the bookshelves to reach the back of the Specimen Storehouse first floor.
2
Upon reaching the back of the first floor (after climbing the small set of stairs guarded by a hostile Shadow Mage), look west by northwest and follow the narrow path between the bookshelves. Stop once you reach an area with a set of stairs to your right (northeast).
3
Climb the stairs after dealing with 2 Shadow Militia. At the top, look north, and climb the next set of stairs you see directly in front of you to reach the Specimen Storehouse Third Floor.
4
Once at the Third Floor, you'll see a Fire Knight peering over a balcony. Defeat it then proceed to the walkway to your south. Upon reaching this walkway, 3 more Shadow Militia will attack you from the southwest end of the walkway. Defeat them before proceeding.
5
Once the enemies are beaten, look southeast along the walkway. There should be some narrow stone beams you can jump to in order to reach the flat stone platform on the other side of the walkway. Loot the corpse here to get the Dueling Shield.
