How to Use Clinging Bone

Scales with Dexterity, Arcane, and Strength

The Clinging Bone scales highly with Dexterity and Arcane with low a Strength requirement to wield. It is a decent weapon for high Dexterity and Arcane players with lifesteal or bleed builds. Since the weapon's main attribute is Dexterity, leveling it over Strength will increase its stat scaling Bonus..

The Prosthesis-Wearer Heirloom can further increase the damage of your attacks by raising your Dexterity.

Magic Damage Weapon

This weapon's physical attacks deal additional Magic damage and is effective against enemies or bosses with low Magic resistance. The amount of Magic damage that this weapon can do is quite low and does not get any bonus damage from the default scaling.

Regardless, it is still a good additional damage source to have and is not meant to be used solely as a Magic damage dealing weapon, the actual value of Clinging Bone is in its weapon skill.

Weapon Skill is Lifesteal

This weapon cannot be infused with Ashes of War and has Lifesteal Fist as its default weapon skill. When activated it performs a forward thrust attack that pierces an enemy and restores HP to the user.

It has a short-range with slow animation so make sure to time the move properly to avoid being interrupted out of it. The skill itself does not deal that much damage and its main use is just for survivability. Equipping it as a secondary weapon and switching to use its weapon skill is a viable strategy.

Weapon Skill Scales with Arcane

This weapon skill directly scales with your Arcane attribute and adding points to this stat will improve the damage this skill can deal.
